CT Tamburello and Phaedra Parks' Surprising Romance: Opposites Attract New

CT Tamburello and Phaedra Parks' Surprising Romance: Opposites Attract

The Challenge star CT Tamburello is revealing new details about his surprising romance with The Real Housewives of Atlanta’s Phaedra Parks. “I’ll say — I don’t want to jinx it — but I’ll say we’re in a good place,” CT, 46, exclusively told Us on Saturday, September 19, while walking the UFC 331 on Paramount+ red carpet outside Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles. Phaedra, 52, shocked the Bravoverse and MTV world alike when she confirmed her once-platonic relationship with CT had turned romantic. The pair later made their red carpet couple debut while attending 2026 Creative Arts Emmys on September 5. “It’s definitely the real deal, and they’re really smitten with each other,” a source exclusively shared with Us shortly after their romance went public. “They became really close on The Traitors, but CT never thought he actually had a chance with Phaedra.” The couple met in 2023, while filming season 2 of Peacock’s hit reality show. Although the pair grabbed the attention of viewers with their palpable chemistry, which included Phaedra’s loving “castle daddy” nickname for CT, their platonic relationship didn’t evolve until recently. “He always had a bit of a crush on her and was interested, but he really valued their friendship and never wanted to cross that line,” the source said. “After his marriage ended, he and Phaedra started talking a lot more, and their relationship naturally grew from there.” (CT and his estranged wife, Catalina White, got married in 2024. She filed for divorce in January but later requested to dismiss the motion. Months later, in June, CT filed his own petition, claiming the pair’s marriage “is irretrievably broken.”) The source continued, “Most of their relationship has been long-distance so far, but they have made it work and travel to see each other.” When speaking to Us on Saturday, CT opened up about the pair’s long-distance romance and why — for now — he thinks it’s the perfect setup. “I know I’m crazy in my own right. It’s probably for the best if I’m not around her every day, to be honest,” CT dished. “But she’s amazing. She really is. The way I would describe it is like Paula Abdul, ‘Opposites Attract.’ You remember that old video? That’s us, you know?” While the reality TV star is obviously giddy about his new romance, he told Us he has learned that some things are best kept secret. “I mean, contrary to popular belief, I do learn,” he joked. “Maybe a slower learner, but I do learn, and some things are better left unsaid and I think oversharing can be a bad thing.” One thing CT is willing to share, however, is the thing he appreciates the most about his new girlfriend. “With her, she just brings peace,” he said. “It’s easy to just stay calm around her.”

Ed Sheeran Breaks Down as Family and Friends Turn Away Amid Tour Drama

Ed Sheeran said he’s lost family and close friends after igniting controversy due to Macklemore getting kicked off his Loop Tour over the rapper’s pro-Palestine comments. The devastated musician broke down in tears and sat cross-legged onstage at one point during his concert at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia Saturday night, reflecting on the week in which all his opening acts quit — including his own backing band — in solidarity with Macklemore.“In these situations you really find out who your friends are. It’s been a weird week,” he told the crowd in video captured by a fan. “It happened very quickly. At the same time, I had so many people telling me to cancel this tour and so many people I’ve known for years and years and years they’re kind of backing away.”“In the back of my mind, I saw the ticket sales for this gig and I didn’t see cancellations, I saw people buying tickets for this gig,” he continued as the crowd started to cheer. “Everyone’s telling me to cancel and I’m feeling all of my friends and family and people I know abandon me.”Ed Sheeran emotionally said during his Sept. 19 show at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia that he felt his friends and family abandoned him after the Macklemore “Free Palestine” controversy. / SplashNews.comThe singer broke down in tears onstage. / SplashNews.comBut the “Thinking Out Loud” singer said he was performing for his fans.“I look at the end of the week and I see 50,000 people who haven’t abandoned me,” he noted. “People will say what they want, but I am doing this for you. I love you. I love this.”He called the concert the best show of his life, but called the past week one of the worst weeks he’d experienced. He later cried as he said that he felt so much love from the audience, after he was initially worried about his safety and that people would boo him.“The world is a scary place right now, America is a scary place right now,” he said, before pointing to the audience and noting, “This gives hope.”He told the audience, “In these situations you really find out who your friends are.” / SplashNews.comHe also shared, “Everyone’s telling me to cancel and I’m feeling all of my friends and family and people I know abandon me.” / SplashNews.comAhead of the show, Sheeran, 35, took drastic security measures because he feared people would throw things at him onstage.“At this point in the show, to be honest, I usually go out on the B stage,” he said,“I apologize that today is not the usual Loop show,” he continued. “I took the B stage out because was afraid of what might happen if I stood in the middle. And I will admit that.”Although the Grammy-winner didn’t name the family who abandoned him, his cousin Jethro Sheeran publicly blasted him online Thursday. But Sheeran said he was performing for all of his fans who made the effort to come see him. / SplashNews.comThe Grammy-winner did take extra security measures at the concert, admitting he removed a stage that would put him in the middle of the crowd because he was afraid people were going to throw things at him. via REUTERS“Finally it’s all coming out! I’m ashamed of my cousin Ed he’s done. Finally the world and all his fans see through him. He’s not a good person, I don’t like his music so I can’t say he’s even a good artist,” Jethro posted on Instagram. He also wrote, “He’s honestly a selfish individual with malicious, cunning ways… I’m his first blood cousin and he screwed me over, made fun of my mental health and mental health in general.”Despite Macklemore previously saying that Ed was pressured into dropping him from his tour by stadium owners, Jethro said he believes Ed made the decision himself, calling his cousin “shady” and a “coward.”“In my opinion he’s a bad human. Just my opinion from my experiences,” he wrote. There were pro-Palestinian protestors demonstrating outside of the venue Saturday, as seen above. He called on Robert Kraft, the billionaire owner of the New England Patriots and Kraft Group, to match his donation.Kraft, who owns Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachasetts, and was one of the stadium owners who refused to let the “Thrift Shop” rapper perform after his “Free Palestine” speech, donated $2 million after he said Sheeran asked him to. In a statement about the massive donation, Kraft, 85, insisted that he’s dedicated his life to trying to help people come together and believes that “all lives are worth protecting.”Sheeran’s next tour dates are Sept. 25 and Sept. 26 at Kraft’s Gillette Stadium. Jamie Lynn Spears Opens Up After 'Sweet Magnolias' Cancellation New

Jamie Lynn Spears Opens Up After 'Sweet Magnolias' Cancellation

Jamie Lynn Spears is speaking out after the shocking cancellation of Netflix’s hit dramedy Sweet Magnolias. “I can’t put into words how much the people who make up our Sweet Mags family mean to me, and that’s not just the producers, cast, crew & @Netflix who are like actual family at this point, but also each of you who watched and became a part of our family as well,” Spears, 35, wrote via Instagram on Sunday, September 20. “It’s so rare to have five seasons straight be #1 around the whole world, in a business where getting a 2nd season of anything is almost impossible these days.” Netflix announced on Friday, September 18, that Sweet Magnolias was canceled and there would not be a sixth season of the show. Spears, for her part, starred as Noreen, a nurse new to Serenity, South Carolina, who has an affair with her boss, Dr. Bill Townsend (Chris Klein). Before Noreen and Bill welcomed their daughter, Rebecca, the town pediatrician divorced wife Maddie Townsend (Joanna Garcia Swisher). Noreen and Maddie eventually bonded after Bill’s death, each also finding new love interests. Sweet Magnolias was Spears’ return to Hollywood after taking a break from the cameras to focus on raising her children. (Spears shares daughter Maddie, 18, with ex Casey Aldridge and daughter Ivey, 8, with husband Jamie Watson.) “Maddie was in middle school and Ivey was a little baby, still breast-feeding when the producers were just crazy enough to give this insecure but hopeful young mama a chance,” Spears recalled on Sunday of being cast on Sweet Magnolias season 1. “Little did they know they were actually giving a part of myself ‘life’ again, a part of myself I desperately needed and it healed me in ways that allowed me to grow as an actress, but most importantly as a person and a mother.” She continued, “I was given the gift of being able to provide for my family, doing something I was proud of, surrounded by people I respected and loved while creating something we all valued. I owe it all to each and every person who loved Serenity, and the people who made it what it was.” The Zoey 101 alum further thanked the show creators and fans alike for allowing her to “be a part of this magical family.” “That’s something that will never end ,” Spears concluded. Spears’ remarks particularly hit home for costars, including Garcia Swisher, 47. “I love you so much,” the Reba alum replied in the comments section. “You’re a gift! And forever my family.” All five seasons of Sweet Magnolias are currently streaming on Netflix.

Charles Spencer's Bold Claims About Prince Harry Echo Princess Diana's Past New

Charles Spencer's Bold Claims About Prince Harry Echo Princess Diana's Past

Princess Diana’s brother, Charles Spencer, sees “echoes” of what happened to his late sister in Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s treatment by the public.“If you look at an article in a tabloid about Diana or the couple that you’re mentioning, Harry and Meghan, they can be really, really unpleasant,” the 9th Earl Spencer pointed out to the BBC in a Sunday interview about his forthcoming book, “Swan Song: Diana, My Sister.”“I think it would be really beholden on people to learn from Diana’s example,” he continued, referencing his sister’s death in August 1997 at age 36.Charles Spencer compared Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s treatment by the public to his sister Princess Diana’s experience in an interview this weekend. BBCThe 9th Earl Spencer (pictured above with Harry in July 2021) railed against “unpleasant” stories about his nephew’s family. REUTERSDiana, notably, died in a high-speed Paris car crash while being pursued by photographers.Spencer subsequently took aim at “cancerous” criticism of Harry, 42, and Markle, 45 — while clarifying he was not there “to speak for” them.“For anyone who is being destroyed in this way daily, it must be such a cancerous influence in their life,” the 62-year-old noted.Spencer said that his late sibling was “very, very sensitive to criticism” and disputed the belief that she “had this splendid life, it was all amazing, [and] she was so privileged and so perfect in so many ways.”“I think it would be really beholden on people to learn from Diana’s example,” he told the BBC. BBCDiana (pictured above in 1983), notably, died in a high-speed Paris car crash in 1997 at age 36 while being pursued by photographers. Getty ImagesHe recalled Diana being “really brought low” by her experience in the spotlight, saying, “I think it’s a pity when I see echoes of that now.”Harry has made similar comparisons since marrying Markle in 2018 and navigating multiple scandals, from their 2020 United Kingdom exit to their return to England last month. In his 2021 AppleTV+ series, “The Me You Can’t See,” the Duke of Sussex said, “You want to talk about history repeating itself — they’re not going to stop until [Meghan] dies. “It’s incredibly triggering to potentially lose another woman in my life, but the list is growing,” he continued at the time. “And it all comes back to the same people, the same business model, the same industry.”“For anyone who is being destroyed in this way daily, it must be such a cancerous influence in their life,” Spencer said of Markle and Harry (both seen above). / SplashNews.comHarry has made similar comparisons in the past to his late mother (pictured above with King Charles III) and his wife. Tim Graham Photo Library via Getty ImagesAdditionally, he gushed over the personality traits his mother shared with the “Suits” alum, explaining, “[My wife] has the same compassion, she has the same empathy, she has the same confidence. She has this warmth about her.”Harry, we hear, was made aware of the bombshells written in Spencer’s memoir, which comes out Tuesday. Additionally, the deadline-making excerpts of the tell-all that have been making headlines all week were not “a shock” to him.In the book, Spencer alleged King Charles III, who was divorced from Diana at the time of her death, sounded “giddily elated like a lottery winner” after her fatal crash. He also wrote that the now-monarch, 77, vowed that his former spouse would be “forgotten soon enough.”In the book, Spencer (pictured above on Sept. 10) bashes Charles — and stood by this decision in his BBC sit-down. charles.earl.spencer/instagramSpencer’s memoir, “Swan Song: Diana, My Sister,” comes out Tuesday. via REUTERSCharles hit back at the claims in a statement about how “the pain of fraternal grief can cloud reason, affect judgment and color memory in ways others do not recognize, even many years after such a loss.”Spencer, meanwhile, doubled down during his conversation with the BBC, insisting he was “telling the truth” about the “monstrous” comments.“I can tell you here and now, those are exactly the words he said,” he alleged. “I was hyper alert to what he was saying and those are precisely the words that he said and I promise that to you now. Genuinely, that is what he said. Ole Miss Fans' Fiery Chant Against Lane Kiffin Stuns College GameDay New

Ole Miss Fans' Fiery Chant Against Lane Kiffin Stuns College GameDay

College GameDay cohost Pat McAfee was momentarily speechless on live TV when Ole Miss fans made their feelings about former coach Lane Kiffin all too clear. “Whatever you think about today, you can’t help but…,” McAfee, 39, trailed off on ESPN’s coverage as Ole Miss supporters began chanting “F*** Lane Kiffin” on Saturday, September 19. With the booming chants getting louder, McAfee quipped, “OK … that wasn’t what I was thinking! It’s certainly what a lot of them are thinking!” Saturday’s college football game between Ole Miss and LSU at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium in Oxford, Mississippi, marked the first time Kiffin, 51, returned to the venue since he left his head coaching job to lead the LSU Tigers. “Lane Kiffin, he hopped in a truck and went right down to Baton Rouge. Now, he hopped in a couple trucks to head right back here to Oxford,” McAfee joked on College GameDay. The coach announced his departure from Oxford in November 2025 after leading the Rebels to an 11-1 regular season. At the time, Ole Miss was preparing for its first College Football Playoff appearance. “After a lot of prayer and time spent with family, I made the difficult decision to accept the head coaching position at LSU,” Kiffin announced last November. Kiffin said that he’d hoped to “complete a historic six season run” with Ole Miss through the playoffs so he could honor “the team's incredible success and their commitment to finish strong.” “My request to do so was denied by [athletic director] Keith Carter despite the team also asking him to allow me to keep coaching them so they could better maintain their high level of performance,” he added. In the aftermath of his Ole Miss exit, Kiffin told ESPN in July that he regretted the way his move to LSU was handled. “I think that's a good thing that I look at life that way now, instead of saying, 'No, I don't. I was right,’” he argued. “I look at things always now, like, how could I have done them better? But it's also easier when you're further removed. There's no emotion involved.” Tensions are still running high on the Ole Miss campus, with Kiffin telling reporters that there were “real safety issues and stuff” ahead of Saturday’s game. “There’s people that have a plan for that, it is what it is,” Kiffin said in a press conference on Monday, September 14. “But I told the players today, you don’t have anything to worry about as far as attention on you all week. There’s so much attention and hatred on me, you just get to go play.” Lane’s daughter Landry — who is a student at Ole Miss — spoke out earlier this week to condemn vulgar banners from around the campus relating to her and a former Rebels football player. (Landry is actually dating LSU linebacker Whit Weeks.) “I’m still a student at Ole Miss. I’ve loved my time here, and I love Ole Miss. So that’s what kind of makes this all even more upsetting,” Landry, 21, explained via TikTok on Wednesday, September 16. “I opened my phone this morning to pictures of banners on houses around Oxford posted on different accounts saying really inappropriate things about me and with somebody that genuinely I have never met in my life, which makes it even more frustrating to say the least.” She pointed out that “turning a girl into the punch line of a sexual joke” should never be acceptable. “I understand emotions are high this week and people are upset, but I am my own person,” she told viewers. “I’ll just never understand how someone can feel good about themselves putting such vulgar things about a girl on a giant banner hanging from their house. I feel like that’s really mind-blowing to me. I just hope people realize there is an actual person behind the jokes that they make.”

A billion-dollar organic-food powerhouse is pulling back from California manufacturing, shutting down its original Santa Rosa factory and eliminating 260 jobs in a sweeping production shake-up.The family-owned Amy’s Kitchen, which racks up roughly $1 billion in annual retail sales of its products, plans to wind down the Santa Rosa operation in phases before shifting production to plants in Medford, Oregon, and Pocatello, Idaho.“This is hard, and it should be hard,” CEO Paul Schiefer said in a statement to SFGATE. “We looked at every alternative before landing here. Lauren Boebert's Fiery Response to Explosive Ethics Allegations New

Lauren Boebert's Fiery Response to Explosive Ethics Allegations

Rep. Lauren Boebert is firing back over a House Ethics Committee complaint alleging that she had sex with three current and former staffers. “Congresswoman Lauren Boebert rejects these allegations as utterly false and there is no truth to them whatsoever,” a spokesperson for Boebert, 39, told Us on Saturday, September 16. “This is nothing more than a politically motivated stunt designed to manipulate the ethics process, create headlines, smear her, and generate clickbait.” The Colorado representative’s office spoke out following American Muckrakers’ David Wheeler submitting a sworn statement about her alleged misconduct with three staffers — two female and one male — to the House Committee on Ethics earlier this week, reports The Colorado Times Recorder. The complaint alleges that Boebert previously arranged a $200,000 hush money payment to prevent one staffer from filing their own ethics complaint. “[These accusations] come from an activist who has long recycled sensational claims, including numerous baseless accusations previously fact-checked as false,” Boebert’s rep said. Wheeler and Boebert have had a long-running feud that dates back over four years and has involved multiple threats of legal action. Us has reached out to Rep. Boebert’s office for comment. The ethics complaint against Boebert could carry serious consequences as the House Code of Official Conduct strictly prohibits representatives from having intimate or sexual relationships with staff who work directly under them in their offices or on committees. In September 2023, Boebert — an outspoken ally of President Donald Trump — publicly apologized over reports that she and a companion were thrown out of Denver’s Buell Theatre during a performance of Beetlejuice The Musical. The prominent Republican politician initially denied accusations that she and her companion were vaping and groping one another during the performance — though she later conceded she’d acted inappropriately, in part, because of the trauma of her then-pending divorce from ex Jayson Boebert, per CPR News. “The past few days have been difficult and humbling, and I'm truly sorry for the unwanted attention my Sunday evening in Denver has brought to the community,” she wrote at the time. “There's no perfect blueprint for going through a public and difficult divorce, which over the past few months has made for a challenging personal time for me and my entire family.” Her statement concluded, “I've tried to handle it with strength and grace as best I can, but I simply fell short of my values on Sunday. That's unacceptable and I'm sorry.” More recently, Boebert appeared to poke fun at former House colleagues Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-California) and Rep. Tony Gonzales (R-Texas) resigning due to separate sex scandals earlier this year. “Like, I mean, why is everybody so horny here?” Boebert asked reporters on the steps of Capitol Hill in April. Speaking to Nexstar D.C. correspondent Vinay Simlot, Boebert recommended that troubled colleagues should “go to church [and] find Jesus.” Boebert has represented Colorado’s fourth district since January 2025, having previously served the state’s third congressional district.

Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie Hint at Exciting New Project Together

Iconic best friends Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie could be reuniting on screen once more. “Nicole and I are talking now and making plans for another new project soon, so I cannot wait,” Hilton, 45, exclusively told Us on Monday, September 14, at the Blonds’ 20th anniversary fashion show. “Nicole and I have been best friends since we [were] 2 years old, so all of my memories have been with her. I'm really excited for the new project that we're working on now.” Hilton and Richie, 44, first publicly showcased their bestie bond on The Simple Life, where they traded their glamorous lives as teen socialites for various blue-collar experiences from 2003 to 2007. Nearly 20 years later, the duo reunited for Paris & Nicole: The Encore in 2024. “That was so much fun doing The Encore together,” Hilton gushed on Monday. Ahead of the pair’s next collab, Hilton commanded the catwalk at the Blonds’ fashion show held at LAVAN Midtown. She rocked a custom design inspired by the new Swarovski-covered motorola razr with Crystals by Swarovski. “I'm obsessed with my Motorola Razr, obviously; it's iconic. I've been using this phone for 20 years now, and I'm in love with the new Swarovski collaboration,” she told Us. “It's so gorgeous with the quilted, all the Swarovski crystals. It's such a fashion statement, like, it literally feels like an accessory — like a Chanel purse or something. I love it.” As for her own ‘fit, Hilton gushed that The Blonds’ “extra” style perfectly matches her usual aesthetic. “The sparkles, the gorgeousness, the way these clothes make you feel, and I feel that they have so much fun with fashion more than many people, so I'm always excited to wear their looks,” she added. “Every time I have a concert, they're my first call to make custom looks for me, and I'm literally obsessed.” For her runway glam, Hilton wore her signature blonde tresses long and straight. “Today's hair is inspired by Philippe because rocking this gorgeous long blonde hair,” she said, joking that she also swaps her platinum mane for a dark wig to go “undercover” at Disneyland or while shopping on the weekend. “[Going brunette is] something that I do all the time, but I would never fully do it because, being blonde, I don't want to mess with it. Dyeing it back and forth from brunette to blonde is just not good for a blonde. It will damage your hair.”

Inside the Racism and Favoritism of Biden’s Inner Circle New

Inside the Racism and Favoritism of Biden’s Inner Circle

During President Biden’s re-election campaign, I helped to spearhead Asian-American fundraising. In gratitude for my tireless efforts, the party exploited me as a racial caricature. At a February 2024 fundraiser for Joe Biden, Shekar Narasimhan, the chair of the Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders Victory Fund, posed a “question” to then-President Biden. In reality, the question was actually a sycophantic compliment so servile that I felt secondhand embarrassment. It went along the lines of this: Mr. President, your reign has been so successful, and your accomplishments legion. Tell us, leader, which triumph fills you with the greatest pride?Such questions were run of the mill at DNC-sanctioned events. They were never genuine inquiries but opportunities to kiss the ring and curry favor with Biden and his staffers who conferred political favors and White House invitations upon palace courtiers. ZUMAPRESS.comFlattery and favor-trading are the currency of identity-based organizations, which thrive on access like parasites on a host. Groups such as Black Lives Matter, the NAACP, Latino Victory Fund, Planned Parenthood, Human Rights Campaign and Shekar’s AAPI Victory Fund prioritize enriching their leaders over advancing their stated goals. Meanwhile, the communities they claim to champion remain unchanged or worse off.Consider Bel Leong-Hong, AAPI Victory Fund’s co-founder. These events are dressed as philanthropy and priced according to the donor’s desperation for access — $100,000 for a fleeting brush with presidential power, $10,000 for the precarious possibility of an invite to the Veep’s dinner party. The realistic prospect of positive impact is an afterthought. Politics has always been pay-to-play. But Democrats have made it their whole ecosystem. Every organism — consultant, professional outrage merchant, corporate DEI officer — feeds on the same minority carcass while pretending to heal it.Democrats have draped the ancient hustle for money in the garment of justice. Their victims are the very people Dems deem the most marginalized: minorities, LGBTQIA+ communities, first-generation Americans. Everyone except white men, who were deliberately left out. By carving society into ever-narrower identity silos, progressives transformed diversity from a strength into a hammer that would shatter communities. Then they monetized it.Strip away the Democrats’ performative empathy, and the transaction remains as old as Tammany, as cynical as Andrew Jackson’s spoils system. The same Democratic lineage that once rewarded loyalists with public offices now rewards them with consulting contracts, DEI sinecures and virtue-laundered donor dollars. Only the costume has changed.I know this, because the DNC imprisoned me in a racial silo of my own. They placed me on the DNC Ethnic Council in 2016 and unsuccessfully tried to recruit me for the AAPI Caucus. They subjected me to the very racial profiling they profess to abhor. I was rammed into a fundraising group with others who shared none of my concerns. Our only link was that we had vague ancestral origins in the Eastern Hemisphere. My worldview could not have been more different from theirs, yet the party only saw pigment and provenance. In May 2024, I cohosted a Biden fundraiser at the Mayflower Hotel. I wanted this to be a serious, thoughtful affair. Imagine my surprise when a fleet of Chinese lion dancers suddenly took the stage and began undulating for the crowd. The woke brigade had completely blindsided us.If I had been asked, I would have told the Dems that these dancers did not represent me or my fellow Asian Americans. I grew up dancing to Britney Spears and the Backstreet Boys, not vibrating lions. But the DNC sees only racial caricatures and reduced me to the faux multiculturalism they shoved down everyone’s throats. They could not pause for even one second their obsessive compulsion with race and desire to “other” us at every opportunity. The golden lions also served another purpose: shielding Biden from substantive questions. Instead of participating in a policy discussion, my guest watched in bemused disbelief as drums pounded and beasts leaped around in a spectacle of red and gold. This display ate into the time set aside for real conversation. We wanted substance, not fabric and cymbals.I am grateful for my Chinese parents and the heritage that has shaped my work ethic, self-discipline, family values and conservative principles. But I have also worked hard to become American and to assimilate into this country I love. The DNC refused to believe it was possible for me to do so. I disappeared behind the golden lions. In the DNC’s world, I could never be a part of America.Lindy Li is the author of “Unburdened: A Former Democrat Insider’s Shocking Account of Political Power, Betrayal, and Party Collapse.”

Nicki Minaj's Bold Defense of Her Work with Trump Sparks Debate

Nicki Minaj is addressing criticism the rapper has received over her steadfast support of President Donald Trump and his administration. “I am honored to be able to have an opportunity to work with this administration and to work with President Trump. He has inspired many people, not just me. And he's — he's fun,” Minaj, real name Onika Tanya Maraj-Petty, said on Friday, September 18, while appearing on FOX News Channel’s The Ingraham Angle, hosted by Laura Ingraham. “He's not just smart, and, you know, he's not just the president,” the rapper continued. “But he's also someone that I can relate to, someone that, you know, every time I see him, or every time I see him speaking to other people, he's just himself. He's very — he's very grounded. It's easy to connect with him. It's easy to feel like he heard you, he understands you. And I just — I just love him. And I'm not going to ever make excuses for that.” When asked if she had anything to “say to the critics of you for working with the sitting U.S. President,” Minaj, 43, quickly responded, “Absolutely nothing.” “I don’t know why I should,” she added. Minaj has been a fierce advocate of Trump, 80, since he took office for a nonconsecutive second term 2024, telling TIME in a May 13 profile that she was disappointed by former president Barack Obama’s two-term presidency and had been frustrated that Black performers were often expected to vote for democratic candidates. “Many celebrities feel the way I do, but they don’t say it,” Minaj told the outlet at the time. “Sometimes you just need one brave person to get the brunt of the impact. I think I am the catalyst for that change.” Thanks to her close personal relationship and friendship with the president — Minaj told TIME she is the president’s “No 1. fan” — Minaj is set to return to the world of reality TV as a judge for the president’s latest project, The Million Dollar Pitch Competition. “This is a major, MAJOR KEY,” Minaj wrote via X on August 31, confirming her involvement in the reality series competition. “Sooooooooooo looking forward to this!!! Imagine being a part of the Trump Administration’s initiative to support small businesses. Let’s GO!!!!!!!!!!” According to the United States Small Business Administration, The Million Dollar Pitch Competition will give away prizes from a $1 million cash pool to five entrepreneurs pitching their small business models to possible investors. The five finalists “represent the best of American ingenuity, know-how and grit while representing the vital contributions of small businesses in local communities across America’s industrial base,” SBA Administrator Kelly Loeffler said in a press release. Us confirmed that Minaj will join entrepreneur Grant Cardone and U.S. Chief Design Officer Joe Gebbia to judge the final round of competition. Actor Dean Cain will also host the event, scheduled to take place on Friday, September 18, in Washington, D.C. “And no, I will not be on stage lecturing anyone,” Minaj told Ingraham, 63, of how she plans to conduct herself when she finally goes back on tour — eventually. “I will be on stage trying to have fun and remind people how blessed we are to live in this country and to remind people how blessed we are to wake up healthy and — and in our right minds every day, and how much we take for granted.” She continued, “I love performing because that's like the only time when all of us are in this big place and we don't have a care in the world, we're making memories, and we'll never forget those memories … And I don't want any more questions about concerts. I'm in my businesswoman era.”
