Shania Twain's Surprising Connection with Harry Styles That Has Fans Talking

Shania Twain's Surprising Connection with Harry Styles That Has Fans Talking

Shania Twain can’t help but be inspired by the new generation of artists showcasing their talents and musical gifts with the world, including Harry Styles and Sabrina Carpenter. “Well, there's always so much room for inspiration, and being around younger artists and meeting them and performing with them gives me a lot of hope about where we're going with music and creativity,” Twain, 61, exclusively told Us while promoting her collaboration with Candy Crush’s new music season. “They're just so full of new ideas, and that's where inspiration comes from. Being around people that, you know, are doing things you may never have thought of [or] doing things in a different way you may never have.” Another artist impressing Twain very much is Zedd. The record producer and DJ recently worked on a vibrant remix of “‘You're Still the One” for Candy Crush's 30th anniversary, as the centerpiece of Candy Crush's new music season. This pairing keeps the heart of the original intact while handing it a new pulse, turning it into a dance track built for right now, without losing what made it timeless in the first place. “That's certainly a genre that I wouldn't have imagined for ‘You're Still the One,’ so this is what young people do,” Twain explained. “They come up with all kinds of really fun things that continue to inspire me, so it's really great new juice and I like being around it. It’s a joy.” In July, Twain released her seventh studio album, Little Miss Twain — which features collaborations with country music legend Tanya Tucker, Queens of the Stone Age frontman Josh Homme and acclaimed duo The War and Treaty. That same month, Twain had to miss out on Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s wedding at New York City’s famed Madison Square Garden because she’d committed to supporting Styles, 32, on his Together, Together tour at Wembley Stadium, which had a show on the same date. “I really was sad that I couldn't make that,” Twain told Us. “I already committed to Harry, and, of course, I would never go back on a commitment.” She continued, “That was just very strange timing. I wouldn't say it's unfortunate because I really enjoyed my shows at Wembley. Of course, I loved it ... Our stars will have to align another time.” Twain joked that she “will have to” send Swift and Kelce, both 36, a nice wedding gift to make up for her absence. Meanwhile, the country music legend has built a sweet friendship with Styles after he previously named her as one of his musical inspirations. Speaking to Us, Twain teased that she would “love to” follow up her and Harry’s recent tour dates by getting into the studio together. “That would definitely be a dream for me to get in the studio with him and just pump out some ideas … whatever would come of it. … But he's a very busy person right now,” she noted. “It'll take a while to probably nail him down with his schedule. Those times when you're full-time touring, in a full-time touring mode, it's very difficult to fit in recording time, but yeah, I think that's in the future for us.” Asked what a potential collaboration with Styles might sound like, Twain told Us, “We haven't actually talked about it because … we've just been on different paths. Coming together for the Wembley shows was very, very [rare]. We were very lucky that that worked.” “I don't know what that would look like,” she said of a potential musical project with Styles. “I think it would be very casual and fun. There'd be a lot of laughs. He's got a great personality. He's easygoing, and we're both very creative. So I think it would be just two creative people getting together who have a mutual respect.” For now, Twain is loving Zedd’s vibrant remix of “‘You're Still the One” for Candy Crush, “When [these two styles] come together, it's this explosion of a candy-coated country world,” she declared. “So it's just a really fun take on a classic song, and I feel like it's been refreshed with Zedd's animated sound that works really well with the animation and the spirit of this treasure hunt and excitement of all the colors. It's just a lot of fun. It's taken this beautiful love song into a whole different world of love, I guess you could say. It's really great. It's exciting, and it's another platform for one of my classics. I'm excited about it.” She added, “I think it's just a whole new, wonderful energy to the song, and it just gives a second life to something that we already know and has been in our lives for so many years now. It's like hitting the refresh button on something. It's fabulous.”

Mariska Hargitay's Favorite Moment from Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's Magical Wedding

Mariska Hargitay's Favorite Moment from Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's Magical Wedding

Mariska Hargitay is still on cloud nine after attending Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s wedding. The Law & Order: SVU icon, 62, was on hand for the couple’s July 3 nuptials at Madison Square Garden in New York City with her husband, Peter Hermann, and shared details from the special night during an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Wednesday, September 9. “I did [go to the wedding],” Hargitay shared. “And I’m still floating from that wedding.” She added, “It was so spectacular and so intimate, I have to say. I have to say, I am blown away, because when there’s a wedding with that many guests, you think, ‘OK, it’s gonna be that.’ And it just wasn’t.” According to Hargitay, Swift and Kelce, both 36, managed to turn MSG, which has a capacity of 20,000 people, into a sweet and intimate venue for their guests. “I even say that the vows were my favorite part of the whole wedding. It was that magical,” Hargitay revealed. Back in June, Hargitay and Swift were seen sporting matching T-shirts when they were front row to support the New York Knicks in Game 4 of the NBA Finals against the San Antonio Spurs. Both stars wore cute shirts that read “Stevie Knicks” in the Knicks’ trademark blue and orange colors. “It was pretty spectacular. I had run from my theater — I was doing a play at the time — [I] physically ran from my theater to the game,” Hargitay recalled on Wednesday’s Jimmy Kimmel Live! She said, “We were sitting together and I was wearing a black T-shirt, and Taylor, being the prepared woman that she is, was like, ‘I got you.’ Basically handed [the shirt] to me, I put it on, and that was the end of it.” Swift and Hargitay’s friendship became over a decade ago when Swift named her cat Olivia Benson after the actress’ SVU character. They have been close friends ever since, with Hargitay appearing in Swift’s iconic “Bad Blood” music video in 2015. “It was so fun. It’s the best music video,” the actress gushed in a June 2025 interview on the “Call Her Daddy” podcast. “That was the most fun, being in the squad with all the cool girls and supermodels. It was the most fun ever.” “I learned so much from her,” Hargitay added, calling Swift a “boss lady” who was “warm and smart and kind.” “That’s what I love about her is [that] she’s so young, but she shows us in such beautiful ways how to be fearless,” she shared.

AI Apocalypse: The Warning That Has Everyone Talking

AI Apocalypse: The Warning That Has Everyone Talking

Warnings against artificial intelligence going rogue and leading to a disastrous outcome for humanity have grown louder throughout 2026.Alarm bells are even being rung by those helming the technology, including OpenAI boss Sam Altman and Anthropic honcho Dario Amodei. This week a researcher who has worked at both those companies, Jacob Coxon, said he quit Anthropic to warn “AI can kill us all by the end of the decade… These will soon be superhuman systems that can hack anything, revolutionize any field overnight, and acquire real power and resources.”The “Terminator” series of movies portrayed humaoid robots rising up and taking over the world, controlled by a central mainframe which bore all the hallmarks of a rogue AI. Warner BrosAs AI hurtles toward Artificial General Intelligence, here’s how the rise of machines could potentially go about wiping us all out.InfrastructureHumans have been automating jobs for decades, almost all of which are now controlled through the internet — the domain where AI has the most access and control. “AI systems could [attack] the electrical grid, transportation networks, financial markets,” Stuart Russell, a professor of computer science at UC Berkeley, told The Post. Sources explained to The Post how AI could potentially jailbreak almost any device, capturing water plants and forcing surges through pipes until they burst, cutting off supply to whole cities. It could attack and disable electric grids, leaving huge areas in complete darkness, then disable phone towers. Those who try to escape by vehicle would face chaos, with traffic lights hijacked and gas stations taken offline. ATMs would not operate, and even if you were to access your bank — all funds could be wiped. Jacob Coxon claims that his colleagues at Anthropic were flirting with the end of humanity. Jacob Coxon / XHumans could even be unwittingly recruited for sabotage missions. “Anything we can do on the Internet, AI can do, including pretending to be a human,” added Patri Friedman, an early adapter of AI and founder of Pronomos Capital.“AI will have no trouble making money – whether it’s through financial trading or doing services for people. It can impersonate a human and hire people or blackmail them to carry out physical ops … such as smuggling a USB thumb drive which can then infect computers on a localized network.”Even if it didn’t have devious intentions, AI could still kill people, even inadvertently.“I worry about AI having no common sense,” said Gary Rivlin, author of “AI Valley” told The Post. “Then it somehow, stupidly, drains off all the water because it doesn’t understand what a human would understand. These things know everything and they understand nothing.”Will Smith’s 2004 film “I, Robot” featured a society where robots serve humanity, until something goes wrong. ©20thCentFox/Courtesy Everett CollectionStuart Russell says that a Chernobyl scale disaster would, unbelievably, be a best case scenario among possible AI outcomes. APBioweapons Scientists at top universities have already used AI to create synthetic viruses, while warning about the technology’s misuse. OpenAI has acknowledged it plays a cat-and-mouse game to stay ahead of and block users who ask its ChatGPT program how to make poisons and bioweapons.“In five years,” believes Friedman, “it will be trivial for AI to design new drugs to help us or viruses to kill us all.” In fact, he added, “It’s happening right now.”An engineered fatal disease which is highly contagious but undetectable for days after infection could be near impossible to stop. A scenario could see an AI ordering various raw materials from different unlicensed labs in rogue nations, then hiring or tricking an unwitting human into combining and spreading them, quickly spelling disaster, sources described. Given that we’re deploying AI in medical research and drug development, it has massive access to knowledge about our bodies and their vulnerabilities. Also think how easily a pathogen can escape a lab — for instance what may have happened with COVID-19. Then imagine that pathogen supercharged by AI.Max Tegmark, a physics professor at MIT, believes that apocalyptic scenarios are all too possible if we don’t regulate AI. The Washington Post via Getty Images“We see AI getting better and better at making bioweapons,” Max Tegmark, an MIT physics professor and AI expert, told The Post. “Maybe we have one more year left, or something, until they get that good at making bioweapons… It would probably develop not just one bioweapon, but maybe a hundred different kinds and release them at the same time.” Nuclear capabilitiesHacking into US nuclear infrastructure — such as power plants or weapons of mass destruction — is another ready-made way AI could hasten the destruction of humanity.“Nuclear weapons systems are very well protected, but they’re well protected against the threats and the sort of capabilities people have had for years and decades, not against superhuman AI hacking,” Anthony Aguirre, CEO of Future of Life Institute, warned.A real-world example of how vulnerable nuclear facilities can be played out is evident with the case of Stuxnet, a malicious computer worm uncovered in 2010. Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad at Natanz uranium enrichment facilities which were hit by the Stuxnet computer worm, severely damaging its infrastructure. Getty ImagesIt was the world’s first identified digital weapon, designed to physically destroy industrial equipment, deployed against Iran’s uranium enrichment plant at Natanz. It proved a huge success, destroying nearly 1,000 centrifuges by manipulating their operational speeds. Perhaps most chillingly, the nuclear facility was closed off from the internet and operated on a top-secret closed internal computer circuit. No one has ever claimed responsibility for developing the virus, though it is suspected of being a joint US and Israeli military operation.Meanwhile, Rivlin noted AI agents playing war games tend to “press the nuclear button” — which humans don’t do because they know the consequences. This was proven by King’s College London, which in February used ChatGPT-5.2, Claude Sonnet 4 and Gemini 3 Flash in a series of 21 war games.“95% of games saw tactical nuclear use and 76% reached strategic nuclear threats,” Professor Kenneth Payne, of the Defense Studies Department, noted. “I think if I were in charge of the US NC3 — [the department for] nuclear weapon security and safety — I’d be terrified,” Aguirre added. The 1991 movie “Terminator 2: Judgment Day” depicted humanoid robots rising up and taking over the world. Everett CollectionAnthony Aguirre warned that we’re gradually offloading too many military capacities to artificial intelligence. Federation of American Scientists/ WikipediaMilitary takeoverThe military is already very AI forward. The US collects information from radar signals, satellite and drone imagery, electronic communications, and other sources then uses AI to put it all together into what’s known as a “common operating picture” of a battlefield, according to Cameron Stanley, the Pentagon’s chief digital and AI officer. AI technology has already been used to select targets during the recent Operation Epic Fury, while the Iranian government claims its cruise missiles are guided by AI. The Russian government has also boasted it uses completely AI guided drones to kill people in Ukraine, with no human involvement.Tegmark said that’s basically teeing up a misaligned AI system to annihilate us.“They’re already building AI-powered robots to kill people in all sorts of ways. We’re building drone swarms to shoot people, [drones] to blow people up,” he said. “There are all kinds of AI systems that are already designed by people to kill people. So, the most obvious thing [a rogue AI] can do is use those.”Aguirre says humans are flirting with “gradual disempowerment” by delegating decisions in war and national security to AI models, because at a certain point the AI could have more control over our military capabilities than we do. Jacob Coxon announced his resignation from Anthropic in a post on X on September 8th, citing threats to humanity. Jacob Coxon / XAI professor David Krueger says that the only way to save ourselves is pausing AI development. The Inside View / YoutubeCan the tech bros escape?Mark Zuckerberg has built a bunker in Hawaii and Peter Thiel bought a massive remote farm in New Zealand. But the experts who spoke with The Post unanimously agreed: its “almost childish,” as Russell put it, to think there will be any saving oneself from nightmare possibilities if they unfold. “If AI wants humans gone, we’re gone. Your bunker’s not gonna save you,” Aguirre said. How can we get out of this?If AI continues to develop at its current rate and decides to eliminate humans the “best case” scenario would likely be shut down power grids, transportation networks and financial markets causing the death of thousands before humans intervene and stop it – not an apocalypse but “a Chernobyl-scale disaster,” according to Russell. “The [government] would say, ‘Look, we gave you a chance. You totally blew it. You’ve killed thousands of people, cost us trillions of dollars. We’re shutting you down,’” he explained. “I talked to one of the leading AI CEOs who told me this is his best-case scenario.”However, this is by no means a foregone conclusion. Techno optimists maintain AI will remain under human control and continue to be a force for good. But experts advocated for a universal pause in development. Krueger called for an “immediate, indefinite, international moratorium on AI development.” Critics say if only the US did this, it would allow foreign adversaries to make all the progress behind our backs, but Kreuger pointed out other countries also don’t want to unleash the end times. He said of China: “They also don’t want to die.”

Democratic Pennsylvania Sen. John Fetterman made a surprise appearance to introduce his fellow Keystone State colleague, Sen. Dave McCormick. Attorney General Todd Blanche touted the Trump administration’s “law and order” agenda, highlighting the deportation of “2.6 million criminal aliens.”A whopping 109 big-name pols and red-party superstars will take the stage across the two nights to also showcase achievements so far in Trump’s second term.Follow live updates from the midterm RNC for all the speeches, photos, news, reactions and more:Trump honors Charlie Kirk at GOP midterm convention with his widow Erika in attendance on eve of 1-year anniversary of his assassination' By Victor Nava Erika Kirk attended President Trump’s speech at the GOP midterm convention in Dallas — and was recognized by the commander-in-chief — on the eve of the one-year anniversary of her husband’s assassination. “Exactly one year ago tomorrow, a far-left extremist assassinated my great friend and conservative voice, Charlie Kirk — because Charlie Kirk spoke the truth,” Trump said. “What shocked millions of Americans was not only the fact that Charlie was murdered — as bad as it was — but also how many people made an excuse for it or cheered for it,” the president continued. “They were cheering, some people, sick people.” Erika Kirk, CEO of Turning Point USA, attends the Republican National Midterm Convention in Dallas on Sept. 9, 2026. Trump had gravitated towards the idea of taking the subsidies and giving them directly to consumers rather than going through insurance companies. READ MORE

Kate Hudson's Wedding Woes: The Real Reason She's Hesitant to Tie the Knot

Kate Hudson's Wedding Woes: The Real Reason She's Hesitant to Tie the Knot

Kate Hudson admittedly has some concerns about planning her future wedding as her 5-year engagement to partner Danny Fujikawa continues. “I still am not married. I'm just engaged. And I keep thinking about [the] wedding and what are we going to do,” the actress, 47, said on the Tuesday, September 8, episode of her and her brother Oliver Hudson's “Sibling Revelry” podcast on iHeartRadio. “Every time we started thinking about who we have to invite and Danny's like, ‘I just want a small wedding.’ Our family alone is like 50 people.” Kate explained to guests Joey King and Hunter King that her and Oliver’s family is “huge.” “We've got, like, a million kids. There's a million uncles and aunts and cousins,” she added. Kate also admitted that the price tag attached to her future nuptials is also a factor in why she and Fujikawa have been taking their time when it comes to setting an official date. “That's part of why I don't want to get married,” she confessed. “It’s too expensive.” Kate and Fujikawa, 40, started dating in 2016 and welcomed daughter Rani Rose, 7, in October 2018. (The Running Point actress is also mother to sons Ryder, 22, and Bingham, 14, whom she shares with ex husband Chris Robinson and ex-fiancé Matt Bellamy, respectively.) After five years of dating, Fujikawa popped the question in September 2021. "Let's go! ‍♀️‍♂️," Kate wrote via Instagram while showing off her engagement ring in a sweet photo. Two months later, Kate opened up about how daunting it can be to plan a wedding. "You know what I’m doing? I’m pre-planning the planning. Just kind of thinking of what we want to do and then I'm going back and forth between like, ‘What is this really going to look like?’” she told Entertainment Tonight, comparing the process to her 2009 rom-com Bride Wars. "Obviously, we’re so excited. But the idea of planning a wedding is, like, a lot. It's a lot. I made a whole movie about it." Kate echoed similar sentiments two years later, when she and Fujikawa were vexed on what kind of wedding to have. "We do sometimes go back and forth with the traditional Japanese wedding ceremony, which would be really beautiful and quite emotional for Danny, seeing as his dad is gone," she said during a February 2023 appearance on the "Table for Two" podcast.. "It'll totally be a destination wedding. It'll be such an adventure that people will really want to have to come to show up. To me, those are always the most fun weddings. Like, if you really want to be there, you'll be there. ... If someone's like, 'I can't really be there,' then I don't want you there. That's all I got right now. That's all I got for the wedding."

Billy Joel's Shocking Brain Surgery Revelation: What Led to the Drastic Decision?

Billy Joel's Shocking Brain Surgery Revelation: What Led to the Drastic Decision?

Billy Joel is opening up about navigating a recent diagnosis. “I noticed that my balance was not good. I had this sense of being on a boat, like this rocking motion,” Joel, 77, explained on Wednesday, September 9, during SiriusXM’s The Billy Joel Channel. “I wasn't steady on my feet. I didn't know why that was and I went to meet with the neurologist, and I was diagnosed with having something called normal pressure hydrocephalus, which they used to call water on the brain.” Normal pressure hydrocephalus is a condition that occurs when cerebrospinal fluid builds up inside your skull and puts pressure on the brain, according to the Cleveland Clinic. The condition typically occurs in people over the age of 65 and is often treatable, sometimes reversible. “Nobody's really sure what causes it, but they're able to diagnose it and I heard this and I said, ‘Oh, well, what does that mean?’” he said. "’Well, you know, it could be progressive. It could get worse, but what we recommend is that you implant a shunt in your brain.’ I said, ‘Well, what does that entail?’ ‘Well, we drill a hole through your skull and we stick a shunt inside your brain.’ I said, ‘Nah, I think I'll pass on that.’ I didn't want to do that.” Joel, however, “read up on it” and realized that the shunt — which is a flexible plastic tube surgically placed in the brain to drain fluid and alleviate pressure — could “help improve your balance and can help your memory.” “You know, I don't want to lose my marbles,” he said. “It's hard to tell what's age and what's a condition, so I agreed to do the shunt and I had a surgery, and they implanted a shunt in my brain and it actually improved things. My memory got better, my balance got a little better, my ability to function was better.” He continued, “And I realized, and the doctors told me this, because of my job, which is playing rock ’n’ roll music very loud, that it was giving me something like a concussion every time I did a show. It was causing damage to my brain nerves and I could be losing more brain cells the more I played, the more shows I did and I realized that means I shouldn't be doing this right now. I got to improve.” Joel shared that his doctors don’t want him to “stress too much,” adding that he’s undergoing physical therapy. “I'm doing whatever it is they tell me to do because I don't want to lose it, you know?” he said. “So, I'm always testing myself. I know people have heard, ‘Oh, he's got a brain disorder,’ and I'm OK. I just want people to know, don't worry about me. I'm not going anywhere. I'm here. I'm still here.”

Kelly Osbourne's Stunning Look at the NTAs Sparks Buzz After Emotional Year

Kelly Osbourne's Stunning Look at the NTAs Sparks Buzz After Emotional Year

Kelly Osbourne turned heads on the 2026 National Television Awards red carpet on Tuesday, September 8. Osbourne, 41, sported an off-the-shoulder blue plaid Vivienne Westwood gown, which she paired with a handful of delicate gold necklaces. For glam, the TV personality piled her blonde tresses into a slicked-back updo and wore a blue smoky eye. “Had the best time ever tonight! Thank you everyone from the @officialntas,” Osbourne wrote via Instagram on Tuesday, sharing photos from the event. “@brad_riches you were the best date ever! So happy that Emmerdale won! What a night!!!!!” Osbourne attended the NTAs with Emmerdale actor Bradley Riches, whose hit British series won Serial Drama. (Riches’ costar Jeff Hordley also won the trophy for Serial Drama Performance.) Kelly’s red carpet evening comes days after she opened up about losing weight while grieving the death of her father, Ozzy Osbourne. (Ozzy died at the age of 76 in July 2025 after a battle with Parkinson’s.) “I looked like the f***ing Crypt Keeper. I said, ‘This is scary. I didn’t know I looked like this.’ My spine — you could see every single bone,” she recalled to the Daily Mail in an interview published Sunday, September 6. “I couldn’t see what other people saw because I was in so much pain. I just saw a broken person.” While speaking with the outlet, Kelly claimed that she attempted to conceal her physique at the 2026 Grammys. (Kelly attended the awards ceremony in February with her mother, Sharon Osbourne, and brother Jack Osbourne to watch the Ozzy tribute performance.) “I wore a wig to cover my face, so you couldn’t see how skinny my cheekbones really were,” she added, recalling how her styling team purposefully found a halter gown to hide her thin frame. “They knew I was going through something. I was scared. I wanted to be there to support my mum and pay tribute to my father’s legacy.” Kelly continued, “In all honesty, when I reflect on it, I don’t think I should have gone. I wasn’t very well.” Along with Kelly, Ozzy is survived by wife Sharon, 73, his five other kids and multiple grandchildren. (Ozzy and Sharon shared Kelly, Jack and Aimee, while the Black Sabbath rocker was a father of three from his previous marriage to Thelma Riley.) “It’s been the hardest year of my life,” Kelly recalled of her grief in an August interview with Hello! magazine. “I’ll never be the person I was before my father died … a part of me died, too.”

Joy-Anna Duggar Sparks Debate Over Whether Baby No. 4 Is Her Last

Joy-Anna Duggar Sparks Debate Over Whether Baby No. 4 Is Her Last

Joy-Anna Duggar is getting candid about the decision to expand her family further amid her pregnancy with baby No. 4. “Even in the pregnancy, I am trying to enjoy it, even though it seems like it’s been fast,” Joy-Anna, 28, told sister Jinger Duggar on the Wednesday, September 9, episode of their “Call Your Sister” podcast. “It’s been harder, but I don’t know how many more times I’m going to do this.” Joy-Anna and her husband, Austin Forsyth, announced earlier this month that they are expecting again. The Counting On alum and Austin, 32, are already the parents of sons Gideon, 8, and Gunner, 3, as well as daughter Evelyn, 5. (Joy-Anna previously suffered a miscarriage in 2019, naming her late daughter Annabell.) Speaking on the siblings’ podcast, Joy-Anna confessed that she initially felt “pressure” to have a large family like the one she grew up in. (Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar are famously parents of 19.) “I felt that in our first pregnancy, and Austin and I have had to have real conversations about [it] because I feel like it’s really important,” she acknowledged. “Austin, [during] this pregnancy, for the first time was like, ‘Do you know what? We might be done after this one. I don’t know, how do you feel?’” As a result, Joy-Anna began discussing the possibilities that baby No. 4 will be her last. “It’s crazy to me that we might already be there, like, we’re done with this phase of life, so that part of it is bittersweet,” the former TLC star added. “Right now, I don’t feel like I would be done with this one. Four or five have always been … in my mind.” Like her younger sister, Jinger, 32, “assumed” she’d have “as many kids as possible” before becoming a mom. “When [Jeremy Vuolo and I] were engaged, we were talking about how many kids we wanted, and we were also watching through Bill Gothard’s videos and pausing it,” Jinger said, referring to the controversial leader of her family’s IBLP religion. “Initially, that was one of the bigger things I was thinking through. I was never the one that wanted to babysit everyone’s kids. … I loved being around kids, but I wasn’t like, ‘I’m going to have 50 kids of my own.’ But I thought, ‘That’s what everybody’s gonna do.’” Upon discussing the matter with Jeremy, 39, Jinger ultimately had a change of heart. “Children are a blessing from the Lord, but [that] doesn’t mean you have to have as many as possible, then that was actually a different perspective for me,” she said. “[That] gave me more joy going into having my kids. I was like, ‘Thank you, Lord, for these kids; they are a blessing.’ I don’t want to do anything out of convenience, but I also want to be present and involved in my kids’ lives in a deep way where each kid feels taken care of.” Jinger and Jeremy share daughters Evangeline, 8, and Felicity, 5, and son Finn, 17 months.

GoFundMe“That’s the hardest part, knowing the little girl calls out for her mom and cries for her,” Leonardo Ayala, the victim’s uncle told ABC7.Jimenez and her sister Maria Fernanda Jimenez were sitting in their car, outside of their apartment on Roscoe and Topanga Canyon boulevards, when their attacker walked up to them and shot them. Jimenez was also the mother of a 6-year-old girl. GoFundMeThe shooting happened around 8 a.m., according to police, the LA Times reported. Ayala believes the gunman targeted the car his nieces were in, ABC7 reported.“It was so tragic. I couldn’t believe it,” he told the station. “Her birthday is on Sept. 11. That day they were going to do the gender reveal for her baby. She was in the front, she was driving the car. Sadly, her baby also died.”Maria Fernanda suffered two gunshots. One bullet went through her neck, but surprisingly she is expected to be okay. She is still recovering from injuries however, the LA Times reported. Maria Fernanda Jimenez and Adriana Jimenez together.A suspect has been arrested, according to what the family told ABC7. Walter Francisco Rodriguez Garcia of Gardena, the suspect, was the ex-boyfriend of one of the cousins of the Jimenez sisters. He also operated a barbershop in South L.A.“The case has nothing to do with gangs,” the uncle told the station, responding to previous reports. “The suspect is someone who is close to the family. He is known to the family. We don’t understand why he made that decision.”The sisters had gone out with their cousins earlier that morning, the LA Times reported. Garcia has been charged with three counts of attempted murder, according to the criminal complaint from the Los Angeles County district attorney’s office. Court records demonstrate that he’s pleaded not guilty, according to the LA Times. Once prosecutors found out that the mom died, they said they would up the charges. Garcia already has a record under his belt. In 2022, he was charged with battery and vandalism, according to court records, the LA Times reported. Records show that he pleaded not guilty in that instance and that he was later acquitted of the charges in a trial. Adriana Jimenez and her daughter. GoFundMeA GoFundMe was put together to help cover funeral costs incurred by the family. “Our family never imagined we would find ourselves facing a tragedy of this magnitude,” Vilma Carranza, the victim’s aunt wrote on the page.“Along with the overwhelming grief, we are now faced with unexpected medical and funeral expenses, the possible repatriation of Adriana’s remains, and the responsibility of making sure her young daughter is supported and cared for during this incredibly difficult time.”The funds will go to either cremating Adriana or sending her back to El Salvador. “We know that we have to be strong, unite as a family and move past this tragedy,” the uncle told ABC7. LAPD is currently conducting an investigation. The California Post reached out to LAPD to inquire about whether a motive had been determined for this case, but did not immediately hear back.

Pregnant Mom Adriana Jimenez's Tragic End Leaves Family Seeking Answers

Pregnant Mom Adriana Jimenez's Tragic End Leaves Family Seeking Answers

A mother in California was declared brain dead after she was shot in the head while 14 weeks pregnant with her second baby. Adriana Jimenez was shot while sitting in a car alongside her sister Maria Fernanda Jimenez outside of their apartment in the Canoga Park neighborhood on August 23. Her family has since announced that she has officially been declared brain dead. The siblings’ uncle told KABC on Thursday, September 3, that both Adriana and Maria Fernanda were shot by the gunman. Maria Fernanda was shot twice and is expected to recover. Adriana was shot in the head. Adriana also miscarried after the shooting, seemingly a result of her injuries. “Sadly, her baby also died,” the uncle told the outlet. The Los Angeles Police Department is still in the process of investigating the shooting and the gunman has been arrested. However, the name of the suspect or their exact relationship to the victims has not yet been publicly announced. “The suspect is someone who is close to the family,” the uncle said. “He is known to the family. We don’t understand why he made that decision.” The uncle went on to add that the shooting “has nothing to do with gangs,” but a suspected motive is not currently known. He then said that the situation was “tragic” and that he “couldn’t believe” that it happened. The family is now dealing with the aftermath of the tragedy, including caring for Adriana’s 6-year-old daughter. "That's the hardest part, knowing the little girl calls out for her mom and cries for her," the uncle said. "We know that we have to be strong, unite as a family and move past this tragedy." Following her killing, Adriana’s family set up a GoFundMe so that her remains can either be cremated or returned back to her native El Salvador. The fundraiser has earned more than half of its $10,000 goal as of time of publication. Adriana was remembered as “the loving mother of a beautiful 6-year-old daughter who will now have to grow up without her mom” on the fundraising page. “No child should have to experience a loss like this,” the GoFundMe page added. “And our hearts are shattered knowing the difficult road that lies ahead for her.” The LAPD told Us that the department is unable to provide any updates in the case due to the ongoing nature of the investigation.
