Why This Half-Printed Resume Is the Talk of the Internet

See more of our coverage in your search results. Standing out to recruiters in today’s competitive job market is no easy feat, but one job seeker has taken an ultra-unconventional route to ensure their application gets noticed. An image of a half-printed resume featuring a cheeky pitch line has gone viral on Reddit, leaving internet users equal parts amused and thoroughly divided over whether it’s a stroke of personal branding genius or a total disaster. The top half of the document appears like a fairly standard CV, featuring a partial headshot alongside a career objective outlining a desire “to be part of your company wherein I can enhance my skills and gain more knowledge.” It’s the epitome of Gen Z thinking. However, instead of listing the usual work experience, education, and contact details, the page abruptly stops halfway down. RedditHowever, instead of listing the usual work experience, education, and contact details, the page abruptly stops halfway down.Printed across the blank lower section is just a single line: “Hire me to unlock my full potential.”The clever design essentially turns a simple job application into a joke that captures the struggle of trying to get noticed. An innovator,” a second user chimed in.However, pragmatic onlookers were quick to highlight the major flaw in the creative stunt: without any work history, skill sets, or actual contact details printed on the page, the resume would likely be filtered out instantly by automated applicant tracking systems. Not to mention the piece of paper didn’t have any contact information either.Whether it’s an intentional creative experiment, clever personal branding, or simply a printer malfunction turned into a meme, the viral resume has achieved the one thing every applicant dreams of: getting everyone’s attention.

RJ Mitte's Tragic Passing Sparks Reflection on His Disability Advocacy

RJ Mitte's Tragic Passing Sparks Reflection on His Disability Advocacy

Actor RJ Mitte, known for his role as Walter “Flynn” White Jr. on AMC’s Breaking Bad, has died. He was 34. “It is with profound sadness that we share the tragic passing of beloved actor, philanthropist, and passionate disability rights advocate RJ Mitte,” his rep said in a statement to Us on Monday, October 12. (TMZ was first to report the news.) Recalling his role on Breaking Bad, the statement continued, “Drawing from his own experience living with cerebral palsy, Mitte brought authenticity to the role and built a platform on disability awareness and inclusion.” Mitte was diagnosed with a mild form of cerebral palsy (CP), a group of neurological disorders that affect a person's ability to move, maintain balance and control posture, when he was 3 years old. “Beyond entertaining friends and family around the world, he served as an ambassador for United Cerebral Palsy and Shriners Children’s,” his rep added in his Monday statement. “He also served as president of The Mitte Foundation, supporting philanthropic efforts and community initiatives, while using his platform to challenge stereotypes and promote greater representation for people with disabilities.” The statement concluded, “At this time, we ask people to respect the privacy of RJ Mitte’s family and close ones." A county official told TMZ that Mitte died on Monday in Texas. An investigation into his death is ongoing, according to the report. Mitte starred in 56 episodes of Breaking Bad from 2008 to 2013. His character suffered from a more severe case of CP. "My disability has given me so many things that people will never understand unless you have it," he said in a 2014 interview. "Unless you've been through the physical therapy, unless you've been (through) the sweat, the tears, the family problems, the family struggles, but wondering how you're going to get that HMO, wondering how you're going to get those medical bills. You develop a different mentality and you develop a different look at how the world sees you and how you see the world." Mitte recently appeared on the October 5 episode of “The Joe Vulpis” podcast, where he reflected on his role in Breaking Bad and where his character might be today. “[Walter Jr.] is going to school and taking care of his mom and his little sister and kind of, like, a dead-end type job, just trying to survive,” he predicted. Mitte was also known for his roles in Switched at Birth, The Guardians of Justice and Now Apocalypse. Mitte’s death comes one year after he announced his engagement to girlfriend Kennedy Suarez. “I’m thrilled to have found my person, my partner in life who makes me want to be better, no matter what we’re doing,” he told People at the time. “Kennedy is my everything and I can’t wait to officially start our life together and see what adventures life takes us on next.”

Dan Levy Calls Out Shane Gillis for Controversial SNL Comments

Dan Levy Calls Out Shane Gillis for Controversial SNL Comments

Dan Levy has spoken out against Shane Gillis’ highly criticized Saturday Night Live monologue in which he joked about women dressing like “whores” at gyms. “Women wearing short shorts to the gym does not make them whores,” Levy, 43, began in an Instagram video on Sunday, October 11. “It makes the men calling them whores misogynists. There's a difference there.” The Schitt’s Creek alum added that he’s “seen more men's nipples at the gym than I've ever seen women showing their bodies off.” “But I'm speechless that something like that can exist on live national television,” he continued. “And to be perfectly honest, more men need to be standing up in opposition to it because it's complacency that has created the environment [in] which women are sexually assaulted, and it's a conversation as opposed to a crime.” Levy then called for men to start “defending women more.” “This is not a women's issue. This is an everybody issue, because the more that men objectify women in the media, the more that other men see them as objects and treat them as objects,” he concluded. “They are not objects. They are superior human beings to men, OK? And I'm sorry if this gets me in trouble with the internet, but f***.” Gillis, 38, made the controversial comments about women while hosting SNL on Saturday, October 10. “I haven’t been to the gym in so long, I didn’t know women just dress like whores now?” he said. “Look, I’m sorry, there’s no other way to describe [it]. Have you seen it? I’ve seen it. You’ve seen the shorts? They’re those neon, like, artificial bait-colored [shorts], and the wrinkles go around the cheeks and all combine at the butthole. And don’t look! You’re not allowed to look.” Levy received plenty of support from fellow celebs after his response on Sunday. “We stan Dan Thank you,” actress Sophia Bush wrote, while her former One Tree Hill costar Hilarie Burton added, “Thank you!!!!” Broadway actor Barrett Wilbert Weed commented, “I love you, Dan.” Gillis has not publicly addressed the backlash for his comments. Elsewhere during his SNL gig, Gillis accidentally dropped the f-bomb and later apologized for the flub. (The Federal Communications Commission has a list of seven words that can’t be said on television: s***, piss, f***, c***, c***sucker, motherf***er and t***. Those who break the rule may face fines, although it’s not currently known if Gillis and the variety show will be required to pay for the mistake.) “Sorry about earlier,” Gillis noted at the end of the show. “Thank you very much. [I] had a good night.”

Pregnant Influencer Sparks Debate After Flight Attendant Refuses Help

See more of our coverage in your search results. A pregnant wellness influencer said she was “shocked” and felt disrespected when a male flight attendant refused to lift her nine pound carry-on bag in the overhead compartment for her.Dominique Elissa, 31, recounted the incident on the “Big Small Talk” podcast last week, telling host Sarah Jane Adams that the crewmember told her she needed to check her bag if she couldn’t lift it.“I was on a flight the other day. I asked the flight attendant, ‘Can you please put my bag above my head, like, I’m pregnant,'” the Aussie model said.“And the flight attendant said, ‘If you can’t lift—,’ he didn’t lift it up. He goes, ‘I can’t help you, sorry.’ Yeah, he said, ‘I can’t help you.’ It was a man,” Elissa recounted.“And then I said, ‘Well, I’m actually pregnant; I’d really appreciate it if you could help me because last time I injured myself.’ “He goes, ‘Well, if you’re not able to lift your bag above your head, you have to check it in.’ And it wasn’t a big bag,” she continued. The exchange on the unspecified flight left her “shocked” and feeling like there was a “lack of respect” for pregnant women, said Elissa. Dominique Elissa poses in a photo posted to Instagram on Oct. 6, 2026. Instagram/@dominiquelissaMultiple flight attendants took to the comment section on Instagram, arguing that they were simply not allowed to lift bags for passengers.“The reason why is because we’re technically not on the clock until the boarding door closes so if we get hurt while boarding, we don’t get workers comp… sorry,” one wrote.Much of the rest of the comment section was filled with people on both sides of the proverbial aisle. “You literarily just said you got injured lifting your own bag. If you can’t handle your own carry on, check your bag (it’s free). Also, pregnancy is not a disability,” one irate commenter ranted. Elissa said the experience made her think there’s a “lack of respect” for pregnant women. Instagram/@dominiquelissa“OMGoodness!!! If I was there I would have jumped up at 64 and lifted it for you!!! How shameful!! I’m certain it wasn’t 35lbs like my 3yo grandson,” a woman wrote.Industry insiders have long noted that crew members are not allowed to lift bags because it is a liability.“Flight attendants are trained never to lift baggage for passengers because it’s a leading cause of injury,” Taylor Garland, spokesperson for the Association of Flight Attendants-CWA, told Inside Hook.“In addition to the economic and health risks for flight attendants, this could lead to a delay or even cancellation of a flight.”

From the minute I found out I was going to be a mom, my whole entire life changed,” Piccolo wrote of her kids.“I don’t have much to say right at this moment but I want everyone to know Remy and Aria deserved so much more and how proud I was to be their mother,” she said. “I will always love you and I promise you will be remembered for who you both are not by what happened,” she told the children.“I swear I’ll love you forever and ever and I will let every person in this world know how amazing each of you are.” Aria Dingwall, 5, and her brother Remy, 7, were found dead Wednesday. Olivia Piccolo / FacebookPiccolo has since reminisced on how she “would do anything” to have her two young kids “running around, destroying things, making huge messes.”She said she wouldn’t be removing the pink “lipstick mess” from the walls that Aria made last week. The motive and circumstances behind the suspected murder-suicide still remain unclear. “I don’t know why he would do this… I know we just went to the movies on Friday night,” Cheryl Trimmer, Dingwall’s grandmother, told Florida Today. “I just feel numb. He loved his children… Joseph, he was a wonderful person. They got along pretty good,” Trimmer said, speaking of her grandson.A fundraiser described Remy as a “strong, kind and intelligent young boy who loved his video games, music and friends,” while Aria was hailed as someone who was “bright, courageous, and compassionate.”Neighbors said they heard “two clear gunshots” at midnight on Wednesday – some 12 hours before the dad and his two children were found dead, WESH reported. It’s unclear if the shots came from inside the property. If you or someone you know is affected by any of the issues raised in this story, call the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 800-273-TALK (8255) or text Crisis Text Line at 741741.If you are struggling with suicidal thoughts, you can dial the 24/7 National Suicide Prevention Hotline at 988 or go to SuicidePreventionLifeline.org.

Amanda Seyfried's Bold Move: Turning Down Roles with Intense Sex Scenes

Amanda Seyfried's Bold Move: Turning Down Roles with Intense Sex Scenes

Amanda Seyfried is opening up about her evolving feelings toward projects with intimate scenes. “Our jobs are weird,” Seyfried, 40, said during a recent panel hosted by Alec Baldwin at the Hamptons International Film Festival in East Hampton, New York. “And as I get older, it gets weirder. We have to be romantic with people that we’re not romantic with.” “Sometimes it’s great. Sometimes it’s really uncomfortable. But I can’t believe back in the day, I was just like, ‘We gotta make out. Great! This is awesome. I know how to make out,’” she quipped. “And it used to be so fun. It was a non-thing. It was like, ‘I get to make out with a hot person today … and they’re paying me.’” Now, however, Seyfried shared that she has had a change of perspective. “I passed on a show where I would have to have sex all the time because of the sex,” she said. “Doesn’t matter [who it’s with] ... I don’t wanna do it. I’m uncomfortable with it. I’m not into it right now. Maybe if [the project] came along again [at a later point], maybe I’d be in a different space. But I don’t wanna deal with being naked with a stranger.” Seyfried noted that her kids — daughter Nina, 9, and son Thomas, 6 — are “paying attention,” which influences her decisions. (Seyfried shares her children with estranged husband Thomas Sadoski.) “And so I have to be less of a pushover,” she said. “The other day — this is so silly — but Nina, my daughter, and I were walking across the street [in Manhattan] … and a person on our side of the street asked for a picture, and I looked at my daughter, and I said, ‘No, I’m sorry.’ And then we walked across the street and I was like, ‘How was that for you, Nina? Was that OK?’” Seyfried recalled that her daughter told her she was “very proud.” The mother-daughter duo then went to a coffee shop, where they were asked the same question. “And then we go to the coffee shop, and the coffee shop barista was like, ‘Can I have a picture?’ And I was like, ‘No, I’ll come back later.’ My daughter’s like, ‘I’m so proud of you for saying no.’ And I was [thinking], ‘What the f***? She shouldn’t be saying this to me. I should be saying no,’” she said, adding that her rule now is: “[If] I’m with my kids, I say no. … Whatever [they are] going through is more important than what I’m going through.”

Kelly Clarkson's $15,000 Bird Drama: What Really Happened?

Kelly Clarkson's $15,000 Bird Drama: What Really Happened?

A Brooklyn curiosity shop is again attempting to clarify its side of social media drama with Kelly Clarkson. Clarkson, 44, put New York City’s Art of Play store on blast over the weekend, claiming she had been treated like Julia Roberts’ character in Pretty Woman when she inquired about purchasing a $15,000 singing bird ornament, which the store subsequently claimed was not for sale. Per Clarkson’s original Saturday, October 10, post, a store employee “looked at [me] as if [I] couldn’t afford it and was told he could find something comparable for me.” On Sunday, October 11, the talk show host and American Idol winner accused the store of lying that the item wasn’t for sale, prompting Art of Play to issue another response. “During the 5 minutes she spent in the store, she inquired about our mechanical bird puppet named Molly,” its owners wrote via Instagram. “We explained that while Molly is permanently attached to the wall and serves as a de facto mascot for our shop, a nearly identical automaton is owned by the creator of the machines, a brilliant artist named Bliss Kolb who lives in Seattle. He told us he would be willing to part with Molly’s twin for $15,000. We explained all of this to Kelly Clarkson.” The shop continued, “We also offered to show her a different singing bird automaton, made by a traditional clockmaking shop in Germany, that she could have taken home with her that day. It costs about $2,000. She did not stick around long enough to see it.” Despite the apparently crossed wires, the store offered Clarkson a mea culpa. “We’ve reached out to Kelly directly to try and clear the air,” Art of Play wrote. “We really do wish her the best and hope that someday we can all laugh about this misunderstanding.” Earlier Sunday, Clarkson responded to Art of Play’s initial statement that claimed the singing bird wasn’t for sale. “So the whole conversation we had when I asked you if it was for sale whilst pointing to the price tag hanging on the wall with the title Singing Bird didn’t happen as you elevator-eyed me saying in a condescending tone ‘yes, it’s for sale but it costs 15,000 dollars so if you’d like me to find something comparable for you I can,’” she wrote via X. “That all never happened and now it’s not for sale. Okay, cool. So you’re not only rude, you’re also a liar. Got it ✅.” Clarkson added that she was keen to support the small business during her visit on Saturday. “And by the way, I obviously support small businesses because I was literally at a small business trying to purchase things. I love small businesses and know they are important and I always support them, but you don’t get a free pass to treat people less than in your store just because you are a small business,” she wrote. “It’s not that hard to be kind. I never blast people but you, my friend, were an exception. Your store is really cool. Unfortunately, you aren’t.”

The Heritage School NYCA Jewish activist and educator who filed the complaint is demanding Kurzer be investigated for creating a hostile environment for Jewish students and faculty at her school.“Last night, pro-Palestinian demonstrators overran an October 7 vigil in Union Square organized by Israelis for Peace, drowned out the reading of the names of people killed, and took over chairs reserved for participants, including Comptroller Brad Lander and Mayor Zohran Mamdani,” Moshe Spern wrote in his formal Oct. 8 complaint.“Video from the event shows Ms. Kurzer among those occupying those seats while mourners were being shouted down. Chants reported at the scene included ‘[globalize] the intifada’ and praise for the attackers.”Spern said he had video evidence that the teacher was at the event.“She was comfortable sitting among the Hamas flags and Hamas chants,” he told The Post Sunday.Earlier in the day, Kurzer came to school wearing a keffiyeh, Spern’s complaint alleged.Counterprotesters supporting the Palestinian people demonstrate during a candlelight vigil for the victims of the Oct. 7, 2023, attacks. Gregory P. Mango for NY Post“That choice made staff and students uncomfortable and signaled political activism inside a New York City public school,” he said.Spern also complained that the Department of Education ignored a prior complaint he made about Kurzer attending protests outside the Park East Synagogue in Manhattan.“A year ago I notified you that Ms. Kurzer participated in both protests outside Park East Synagogue on November 19, 2025, and May 2026, at which demonstrators chanted ‘intifada revolution,’ ‘globalize the intifada,’ and ‘death to the IDF,’ and Jewish congregants were obstructed from entering their house of worship,” Spern told the chancellor.“Those demonstrations were widely condemned, including by Governor Hochul, as intimidation of Jewish New Yorkers at a synagogue led by a Holocaust survivor.”The Jewish educator argued that the sum of Kurzer’s actions shows a pattern of hostility towards Israel and Jews. Kelly Clarkson's Brooklyn Store Drama: The 'Pretty Woman' Moment Everyone's Talking About

Art of Play – the Brooklyn, New York, boutique condemned by Kelly Clarkson — is directly responding to the singer’s claim she was forced to endure an embarrassing Pretty Woman moment. “Yesterday, Kelly Clarkson visited us in Brooklyn and inquired about buying ‘Molly,’ a one-of-a-kind singing and dancing bird automaton who plays an important role in the magic shows we host here,” a Sunday, October 11, statement shared via the shop’s official Instagram page read. “Molly is permanently attached to the wall and isn’t for sale. However, the negative experience Kelly described on twitter would resonate with anyone who has ever felt judged in a shop.” Clarkson, 44, made waves on Saturday, October 10, claiming that she was made to feel as if she “couldn’t afford” the home goods shops’ merchandise. “Just drove all the way to Brooklyn to check out this store I thought looked really rad,” Clarkson tweeted. “[I] had a few things in mind to buy and literally was looked at as if I couldn’t afford it and was told he could find something comparable for me. Wow, dude. You’re an idiot and just lost a huge sale.” After resharing a handful of positive reviews to their shop’s Instagram page in what appeared to be subtle responses to the singer’s alleged experience, Art of Play further rebuffed Clarkson’s account directly. “At Art of Play whether someone comes in to make a purchase or simply look around for a while, they are equally welcome,” the statement added. “We greet everyone who walks in the door with the invitation to ‘pick things up and play.’” And they do, many stay for hours enjoying our puzzles, games and toys.” The message continued, “Imagine our surprise when our small local business was suddenly attacked by 8 million people who have never visited our store. It’s been a surreal experience to be the focus of such widespread outrage after just one mention by a celebrity. Thanks to all our friends for their support and welcome to all the curious folks who have discovered us amidst the drama.” Quoting Clarkson’s hit single “Stronger,” the shopkeepers planned to resume business as usual. “We’re going to keep our heads down and hopefully, we can clear things up with Kelly someday,” the statement concluded. “As a talented popular singer once said ‘what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger.’” Clarkson, who has not further addressed the alleged shopping encounter, relocated to New York City in 2023 with her two children.

Jesse McCartney's Emotional Journey to Baby No. 2 After NICU Experience

Jesse McCartney is opening up about her mindset as she prepares for the arrival of his and wife Katie Peterson’s second baby. “I’m pumped. Very excited,” McCartney, 39, told TMZ on Thursday, October 8, adding that being a “girl dad is different.” McCartney noted that he has “no idea what it’s going to be like,” but is “very psyched” about soon having both a girl and a boy in their family. “I told my wife, if it was two boys, we might be going crazy. So I got one of each and maybe we can call it there. We’re even. Nobody’s outnumbered in the house,” he said. “But we’re very excited. It will be nice. Our first boy is such a good kid and everything you want in a son so I imagine our daughter will be the same.” McCartney also reflected on the pair welcoming their son, Archer, three months before his scheduled due date in 2025. Their newborn ultimately spent 70 days in the NICU before the proud parents were allowed to take him home. “We’re trying to not think of the worst and trying to go into this cautiously optimistic I should say,” he said. “So far everything is going great and mom is doing well. Being a NICU parent can definitely cause a little PTSD but so far everything is great and mom is staying healthy.” Days before, McCartney and Peterson announced that they are expecting their second child. The couple shared several maternity photos at the time, including one of Archer pointing to Peterson’s stomach as she and McCartney smiled. “Archer is getting promoted to big brother March 2027,” the pair wrote via Instagram at the time. McCartney and Peterson, who tied the knot in 2021, later shared that they are expecting a baby girl and “couldn’t be happier” about the news. “Once we had the most amazing boy, and I could check that off the list, I remember telling Katie, ‘I’ll love this baby no matter what, but like...if it’s another boy, we may be going for three,’” McCartney joked to People earlier this month, while Peterson added, “I’ve been in such boy mom mode that it’s crazy to think about boys and tutus, but I am so ready. I think she’ll bring the perfect balance to our little family. We feel incredibly lucky to get to experience a son and now a daughter as well. And I’d be lying if I wasn’t most excited to watch Jesse be a girl dad.”
