Gov. Hochul Under Fire for Silence on NYPD Stabbing Amid ICE Controversy

Gov. Hochul Under Fire for Silence on NYPD Stabbing Amid ICE Controversy

See more of our coverage in your search results. Homeland Security Director Markwayne Mullin on Sunday ripped Gov. Kathy Hochul for grandstanding over the shooting of a reputed gangbanger by ICE just days after she said nothing about an NYPD cop being stabbed by other illegal immigrants.Mullin accused Hochul of “hypocrisy” for the way she suggested it was federal agents terrorizing the Empire State because Oscar Belgal was left with non-life-threatening wounds while trying to flee his arrest in the Bronx on Thursday.Neither Hochul nor other leading “career sanctuary politicians” said “anything when … an NYPD officer was stabbed seven times in this same neighborhood in the Bronx just last week,” Mullin noted on Fox News’ Shannon Bream Sunday, referring to off-duty NYPD Detective Jose Mercedes.“They were completely silent,” he raged.New York Gov. Kathy Hochul was accused of grandstanding over an ICE operation in the Bronx. Matt Roberts/ShutterstockMullins noted the striking similarities between the suspects in Mercedes’ stabbing, Dangelo Rafael Jean Caraballo and Sneider Mejia Bautista, and the shot migrant being championed by the left“All three of these criminals … all from the Dominican Republic, all had extensive criminal records, all should have been deported” with previous containers, he said.“When an NYPD officer got stabbed, no one did a press conference, no one was outside protesting, no one said a word,” Mullin said.“And then when Oscar, an individual who evaded us last month and has an extensive criminal background,” he said, reading a list of his felony charges and his gang affiliation, “they’re out there protesting for this guy?“It’s absolute hypocrisy.”He added that Belga had built up an astonishing number of charges in the three years since he arrived illegally in the United States, including four counts of felony robbery, two of felony assault, two felony drug charges, and two felony larceny charges, as well as misdemeanor assault and weapons possession.Department of Homeland Security Secretary Markwayne Mullin said Gov. Hochul had stayed silent on the attack on an NYPD officer. AP Photo/Jacquelyn MartinHe added that ICE was in New York to “do a job,” after Hochul demanded that its agents stay out of the city.“Who is going to get criminals off the streets that you keep releasing?” Mullin asked.Hochul had accused ICE of the “intentional infliction of pain, of chaos, [and] of trying to terrorize neighborhoods” after agents fired into a vehicle containing a 5-year-old child during a targeted operation in the Marble Hill neighborhood of the Bronx this week.Det. Mercedes, who has since left the hospital.“Governor Hochul has tremendous respect for the hardworking men and women of the New York City Police Department and the crucial role they play in driving down crime and making New York safer,” a spokesperson for Hochul’s office told The Post.“Rather than politicizing this terrible incident, the Governor will continue to prioritize the real work that supports our law enforcement, including investing record amounts in law enforcement funding, strengthening laws to keep our communities safe, and protecting New Yorkers from rogue ICE agents.”

Michael Douglas Embraces His 'Lazy Era' with Surprising New Priorities

Michael Douglas is living the retired life. The 82-year-old actor acknowledged he’s in his lazy era in an interview with Page Six, telling us his main priorities now have nothing to do with work.“Yeah, I’m trying to improve my golf game, travel everywhere I haven’t been before,” he explained.“Basically, my values have changed from career being probably the most important thing to my family and community.”Michael Douglas (seen here in October 2025) acknowledged that he’s proudly in his lazy era in an interview with Page Six. PA Images via Getty ImagesThe actor (seen here in October 2024) said he’s now focused on improving his golf game rather than his career. SNS Group via Getty ImagesThe “Basic Instinct” actor’s new life plans come after he recently released his new memoir, “One Helluva Ride,” in which he looks back at his colorful personal life and legendary career.Remembering his time as a struggling actor in New York City, he told us about when he shared a tiny Upper West Side apartment with Danny DeVito.“It was a one-bedroom; [so] he had to open up the couch in the living room,” Douglas told us of the “Matilda” actor. However, DeVito was already dating Rhea Perlman at the time, so he wasn’t in the apartment that often.Douglas (pictured here in October 2025) also told us he wants to travel more. His eldest son, 47-year-old Cameron, has also dealt with addiction issues, which resulted in a seven-year prison sentence.Douglas told us that cocaine use was “running rampant” in his heyday, adding, “Almost every show you did, the prop man was the guy to go to.”As for why he chose to be so open about his drug use in his book, he said he wanted to share his experience now that he’s older and wiser.“Having a little age behind me and looking back at it and realizing it was a really ridiculous drug and consumed a lot of people, my son included and a lot of others,” he reflected. “My little beware tale in terms of my experiences.”The “Fatal Attraction” star told Page Six that Zeta-Jones is in the midst of reading his new memoir, “One Helluva Ride.” catherinezetajones/InstagramDouglas (seen here earlier this month) delves into his drug use and secret affairs in his new book, which was released on Oct. 6. Kim Kardashian's Vintage Glam Steals the Show at Singapore Grand Prix

Kim Kardashian's Vintage Glam Steals the Show at Singapore Grand Prix

Kim Kardashian brought a dose of vintage glamour to the Singapore Grand Prix paddock while supporting her boyfriend, Lewis Hamilton. Kardashian, 45, sashayed into the Marina Bay Street Circuit on Sunday, October 11, in a vintage Roberto Cavalli pink floral gown that matched her rosy makeup. To complete her ensemble, the Skims mogul wore her signature dark tresses long and straight. Kardashian watched her beau’s F1 race from the Scuderia Ferrari garage. (Hamilton, 41, joined Ferrari in 2025 after previously driving for Mercedes.) Kardashian and Hamilton have been romantically linked since February after decades of friendship. As their bond turned romantic, the reality TV personality has been a fixture in the F1 paddock to cheer on the racing star. One day before Sunday’s race in Singapore, Kardashian watched Hamilton’s qualifying race from the Ferrari garage in a fitted, pale pink halter gown that complemented her miniature Hermès Kelly handbag. He finished in the P2 position going into the main event. “I had a mega start which is awesome,” he told reporters after crossing the finish line. “I love driving this track in the rain and those conditions, so as soon as the heavens opened I was like, ‘This is a great day.’” The British athlete added, “I think we showed that we, obviously, have a good car. I think if we can do slightly better in Qualifying, get both cars up there, I think we’ll be able to reapply pressure tomorrow to both the Mercedes and the Red Bull [teams].” As Kardashian continues to cheer on Hamilton’s racing finishes, she’s enjoying their slow-but-steady romance. “I was really single for five years, and that felt great. I could focus on my kids and projects that I really wanted to be involved with. I really felt no rush,” Kardashian, who shares four children with ex-husband Kanye West, told The Times of London in a profile earlier this month. “I felt like I needed my time. I wasn’t ready to open up. I really wasn’t even thinking about it. The universe works in your favor when you just allow it to.”

Travis Kelce's Surprise Appearance in Guardians Gear Sparks Buzz

Travis Kelce's Surprise Appearance in Guardians Gear Sparks Buzz

Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce was full of team spirit for another major sports franchise on a solo night out. The NFL star, 37, rocked a red Nike Cleveland Guardians jersey and a navy cap emblazoned with the team's logo while watching their Game 5 showdown in the American League Division Series against the Chicago White Sox on Saturday, October 10. (Kelce had some free time this weekend as the Chiefs are on a bye week.) An appearance from Kelce at Progressive Field may have given the Guardians a boost, as the team ultimately toppled the White Sox 2-0 to win the series. Saturday's victory propelled the Guardians into the American League Championship Series for the second time in three years. The Guardians now move on to face the Tampa Bay Rays in Game 1 of the ALCS at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Florida, on Monday, October 12. Kelce wasn't the only famous Cleveland resident at Progressive Field on Saturday night — Cavaliers shooting guard Donovan Mitchell was also in attendance to root for the hometown team. Kelce has a business interest in the Guardians' postseason success, as he became a minority owner of the squad earlier this year. His involvement in the Guardians' ownership was a full-circle accomplishment for Kelce, as he was a self-professed "die-hard fan" of the team while growing up in the Cleveland area. "I have so much love for this city,” Kelce told ESPN in March. “I say it all the time: I’m just a kid from the Heights living the dream. I credit every good thing in my life to Cleveland and being raised here with the values and the people and the work ethic. Cleveland Heights is such a diverse and dynamic place." The athlete went on to say, "Every friend, neighbor, teacher and teammate — they all made me the man I am today. It just fueled such a deep appreciation for life and community and service. That mentality of Cleveland against the world runs deep.” At the time, Kelce tipped his hat to the Kansas City Chiefs' owners, the Hunt family, telling the outlet that he'd been "lucky enough to have a front-row seat to good ownership in my career" in the NFL. "I know the best teams prioritize culture," he added. "Everyone is there to play their role, and right now, I’m here to observe and learn and really to support the team and the city when and where I can." Cleveland is certainly having a pop culture moment this fall. In September, Kelce's wife, Taylor Swift, shouted out his hometown on the song "Cleveland," from the expanded version of her record-breaking 2025 album, The Life of a Showgirl. “I guess there’s something we all can agree on / But my baby likes what he likes,” Swift sings in the "Cleveland" chorus. “He already took me to Cleveland / And showed me The Heights, so hate all you like / This is the love of my life.” During a September 30 episode of his "New Heights" podcast, Travis and his brother Jason Kelce gave Swift's ode to Cleveland their stamp of approval. “Cleveland is rocking right now,” Kelce told listeners. “Shout-out to Tay Tay for making that song.” His brother Jason, 38, chimed in, saying, "Dude, that song is incredible. [My wife] Kylie [Kelce] and I have been listening to it so much. There’s just something about it [that] makes you feel really good." The Chiefs return to action on Sunday, October 18, when they host the Los Angeles Chargers at Arrowhead Stadium.

Saudi Arabia Faces New Threats After Airport Attack Sparks Global Reactions

Saudi Arabia Faces New Threats After Airport Attack Sparks Global Reactions

See more of our coverage in your search results. Saudi Arabia on Sunday extended the closure of its main international airport as Houthi rebels threatened airstrikes across the kingdom, a day after a missile attack killed 12 people and wounded more than 300.Saturday’s strike on the Riyadh airport marked a major escalation of the war between Yemen’s Iran’s-backed Houthis and the kingdom. President Donald Trump said he was considering whether to join Saudi strikes against the rebels, a scenario that could prompt the Houthis to halt shipping through a crucial waterway and further restrict the flow of oil out of the Persian Gulf.As international leaders spoke out condemning the attack Sunday, the Houthis reported that two airstrikes hit Yemen’s capital, Sanaa, blaming Saudi Arabia. There was no immediate comment from Saudi authorities or reports of casualties.Saudi Arabia extended an airport closure after a Houthi strike killed 12 people and injured 300. APThe Houthi-run Health Ministry says 91 Yemenis have been killed and 168 injured by the Saudi-led coalition in five weeks. It said that 60% of those killed were women and children.Houthis renew threats to Saudi ArabiaAs Saudi authorities extended Saturday’s airport closure until at least 9 p.m. Sunday, according to Flightradar24, the Houthis said the kingdom’s airports were attack targets.Brig. Gen. Yahya Saree, the group’s military spokesman, urged “everyone to take our warnings seriously.”The latest attack on the Saudi airport drew condemnations from Arab countries, including Iraq, Lebanon and Syria, as well as U.N. Secretary-General Antonio Guterres and European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen.“Attacks by Iran’s proxies are pushing the region into a spiral of violence,” Von der Leyen wrote Sunday on X. “They are destabilizing crucial global transport and energy nodes.”The attack at King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, marked a major turning point in the war between the Houthis and the kingdom. AP Photo/Attack killed people of different nationalitiesThe attack struck an airport complex housing terminals 3 and 4 for domestic flights, a regional official said, speaking on condition of anonymity because they weren’t authorized to speak to the media. The Saudi statement said the dead included four Saudi citizens, two Bangladeshi nationals, a Palestinian, a U.S. citizen, an Egyptian, a Jordanian, a Syrian and a Sudanese. It said several hospitals were treating the injured.U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio acknowledged in a social media post that an American citizen had been killed in the attack, which he condemned. The Egyptian woman was a flight attendant identified as Azza Ramzy, 28, who worked for the Saudi airline Flynas, according to the Egyptian state-run Al-Qahera New television.President Trump is weighing U.S. military action, saying, “We just found out about the recent attack. So we’ll make a decision. We move very quickly.” AFP via Getty ImagesTrump said he would consider joining strikes against rebelsThe attack is expected to increase Saudi pressure on allies, including the United States, to provide military support for the kingdom.Shortly after the attack, Trump said he was evaluating whether the U.S. should join Saudi strikes against the rebels. “We may. We’re going to look at it,” he said. “We just found out about the recent attack. So we’ll make a decision. We move very quickly.”Trump said later Saturday he planned to speak with Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. Asked if the U.S. might get involved, Trump responded, “We’ll find out.”The Houthis claimed attacks earlier in the week on King Khalid International Airport that killed three Saudis, including a pilot. The airport has no military facilities. The surge in attacks, including against other Saudi airports, military facilities and oil infrastructure, has come in the week since a Saudi-led coalition launched a major military offensive against the Houthis.Iran can use Houthis to pressure key US allyUntil recently, the Houthis had been largely on the sidelines of the Iran war. Now, the rebels are a way for Tehran to pressure a key U.S. ally. Houthi attacks, along with their control of the Bab el-Mandeb waterway, also threaten to add new disruptions to the flow of oil from the region. The Saudis and the Houthis began fighting in 2015 when the kingdom entered Yemen’s civil war on behalf of the internationally recognized government.Relative calm after a 2022 ceasefire ended in July when the Houthis resumed attacks, saying the Saudis fired on the Sanaa airport as a plane from Iran was trying to land. That revived anger over the Saudi-led blockade that has largely isolated Houthi-run areas. Now fighting has escalated, with the Saudi-led coalition providing air support for Yemeni government forces attempting to reverse recent Houthi gains along the Red Sea. Those gains gave the rebels better surveillance of shipping on the Bab el-Mandeb, a corridor that is a crucial alternative to the Strait of Hormuz, where Iran has been attacking ships.Saudi Arabia is running low on missile interceptors and has asked France, Britain, Pakistan and Egypt to deploy air defense support to the region, regional officials told The Associated Press last month, with one noting that the U.S. has seen its own stock dwindle during the war with Iran.

Maggie Sajak's Exciting Moment with Jackson Olson and the Jonas Brothers

Maggie Sajak's Exciting Moment with Jackson Olson and the Jonas Brothers

Maggie Sajak was practically "burnin' up" as she cheered on her boyfriend Jackson Olson's performance with the Jonas Brothers at the 2026 Banana Bowl. "Let's go!!!!" Sajak, 31, rallied via her Instagram Story over footage of Olson, 28, being introduced to a huge ovation at Nationals Park on Saturday, October 10. Olson's team, the Savannah Bananas, competed in the first-ever Banana Bowl in Washington D.C. alongside five other teams from the Banana Ball Championship League — the Party Animals, the Firefighters, the Texas Tailgaters, the Loco Beach Coconuts and the Indianapolis Clowns. Sajak was in attendance on Saturday to support her beau. During the ninth inning, all six teams set aside their rivalries for a few minutes to perform a choreographed dance routine with the Jonas Brothers. The boyband took to the field for a medley of their greatest hits — including "Burnin' Up" and "Sucker" — alongside the Banana Ball teams, before jamming on "Celebrate!" with Olson and the Savannah Bananas at home plate. (Kane Brown, John Cena, Pentatonix, the touring ensemble from Disney's Beauty and the Beast and Dancing With the Stars cast members also appeared during the exhibition game.) As the Jonas Brothers kicked off their set, an excited Sajak asked her Instagram followers, "Like how is this real OMG?" "Mood when @jacksonolson and the Jonas Brothers are on the same field," Sajak wrote over footage of herself dancing in the stands at Nationals Park. Unfortunately, the Savannah Bananas couldn't bring home the championship on Saturday, finishing as runners-up to the 2026 Banana Bowl winners, the Texas Tailgaters. Olson has somehow managed to fit his playing time with the Bananas into a jam-packed schedule this fall, seeing as he is simultaneously competing on Dancing With the Stars season 35. Sajak has frequently been in the ballroom throughout the first few weeks of the season to show her support for Olson. (The couple went public with their relationship in April, after originally crossing paths at a Los Angeles Dodgers game in October 2024.) In September, Olson exclusively explained to Us why he tries to never look at Sajak in the crowd while he is performing with professional partner Emma Slater on DWTS. "It’s so awesome [to have her here]. I try not to look at her during the dance because I know that she’s smiling," he sweetly revealed. "I know that she’s so excited and smiling. And if I looked at her, I would just like be like, ‘Ah!'" Olson added, "But it’s awesome, and she’s so supportive of both of us, too. She was wearing the Team Banana ballroom shirt [for Viral Hits Night], so that was cool.” Speaking to Us, Olson hinted that Maggie's famous father, former Wheel of Fortune host Pat Sajak, may make an appearance in the DWTS studio audience before the end of the season. “We need to [have him here],” Olson insisted. “I think he’ll be at one of these.” The athlete doesn't have much time to decompress after the Banana Bowl, as he and Slater, 37, will be dancing the salsa to "Uptown Funk" on DWTS' "Super Bowl Night" on Tuesday, October 13. Dancing With the Stars airs on ABC Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET on Disney+ and ABC.

Brandi Glanville's Heartbreak: The Emotional Goodbye to Her Father

Brandi Glanville's Heartbreak: The Emotional Goodbye to Her Father

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum Brandi Glanville’s father, Guy Glanville, has died. He was 77. “My dad died, I’m gutted I hate this life right now,” the reality TV star, 53, wrote via X on Saturday, October 10, alongside a broken heart emoji. Glanville did not share any additional information regarding her father’s passing. Us has reached out to the TV star for comment. Guy shared Brandi and her siblings, Tricia Glanville and Michael Glanville, with his wife, Judith Glanville. Brandi was open about her at-times rocky relationship with her father, revealing that after the pair reconciled and later appeared alongside each other on 2018’s Marriage Boot Camp: Reality Stars Family Edition, her father refused to speak to her. “My dad and I, we left the show in a great space and then, when the show aired, we haven't talked since,” Brandi told Entertainment Tonight shortly after the show’s season premiere. “You know, he’s not done TV before, and I warned him ahead of time, ‘They’re not going to be able to show everything that we shot. They’re going to show the highlights, so you have to write down notes and understand it’s going to be the highlights of what we shot, and don’t get mad – you’re gonna get mad all over again,’ and ultimately, he did.” She continued at the time, “It's been quite some time and unfortunately... I'm used to this, it's [just like] Housewives, like, I can handle it. For him, I think he cares what his friends and everyone was saying about what they saw, and I thought they gave him a great edit, to be honest, 'cause he was a little bit worried. But, no, we haven't talked since, unfortunately. But I love him dearly. He's everything. I’m just, I’m leaving [it] in his corner. Because you know, you know me, I get a little aggressive.” The pair eventually reconciled again amid Brandi’s public feud with fellow Housewives star Denise Richards, when Guy publicly supported his daughter. “My daughter may be many things, sometimes an asshole, but she is not a liar,” Guy said in a video shared via Instagram at the time. In May of this year, amid her own public health battle, Brandi revealed that her father was in the “cardiac unit” of an unspecified hospital following some sort of medical event. “Been completely off the grid,” she wrote via X at the time. “Dad in cardiac unit at the hospital & it’s day 13 now. We are both medical mysteries. Pray for my dad Guy Glanville.” The Real Housewives of New York City star Sonja Morgan was one of Brandi’s first famous friends to offer their public condolences in the wake of her father’s death. “So sorry you are going through this Brandi,” she commented via X. “Sending love and strength.”

For sure, check it out 👎.”Art of Play declined to comment when contacted via phone by Page Six Saturday.Clarkson claimed she was “looked at as if [she] couldn’t afford it and was told he could find something comparable for [her]” at the establishment. Imagine not knowing THE Kelly Clarkson,” a netizen wrote, with another adding, “Glad he didn’t waste your time. Unfortunately for him, he’s about to have a lot of free time.”Some fans have even taken to the store’s business listing on Google, with one of the many new one-star reviews reading: “y’all mean to Kelly Clarkson? heck no.”Many of Clarkson’s followers made the same joke about the situation, pointing to the memorable moment from 1990’s “Pretty Woman” when Roberts’ character — Vivian Ward, a Hollywood escort who falls in love with a wealthy client (Richard Gere’s Edward Lewis) — gets her revenge on a posh Rodeo Drive saleswoman.Vivian gets revenge on the haughty employee, later returning in an elegant outfit and carrying numerous shopping bags, telling the saleswoman, “Big mistake. Big. Huge.” (Roberts is seen in the film above with co-star Richard Gere.) Kelly Clarkson's Shocking 'Pretty Woman' Moment in Brooklyn Store

Kelly Clarkson's Shocking 'Pretty Woman' Moment in Brooklyn Store

Kelly Clarkson allegedly had her very own Pretty Woman moment — a “huge” one, in fact. “Just drove all the way to Brooklyn to check out this store I thought looked really rad and had a few things in mind to buy,” Clarkson, 44, wrote via X on Saturday, October 10, alleging that she was “looked at as if [she] couldn’t afford it.” The singer further claimed that an unidentified shopkeeper instead promised to “find something comparable” to her wish list, allegedly insinuating that the singer didn’t have the funds necessary to purchase the items. “Wow, dude,” Clarkson tweeted.  “You’re an idiot and just lost a huge sale.” Clarkson claimed that she had been shopping at Art of Play, a home goods store that specializes in puzzles, games and other toys. The local Brooklyn, New York, boutique has not publicly addressed Clarkson’s accusations. Us reached out for comment. “Y’all should go check out Art of Play in Brooklyn if you enjoy being treated like Julia Roberts’ character in Pretty Woman,” Clarkson concluded on Saturday. “For sure, check it out [thumbs down emoji].” In 1990’s Pretty Woman, Roberts, 58, plays an escort named Vivian Ward hired by a wealthy businessman (Richard Gere) for a week. Looking to purchase appropriate clothes to attend her client’s work functions, Vivian walks into a ritzy Beverly Hills shop. The sales clerk, taking one look at her midriff-baring minidress, immediately asks her to leave while assuming she cannot afford the store’s high-priced merchandise. Finding success at a different venue, Roberts’ Vivian later — and iconically — waltzed back into the first store the next day and called out their behavior. “Hi, do you remember me? I was in here yesterday [and] you wouldn’t wait on me,” she retorted. “You work on commission, right? Big mistake. Big. Huge. I have to go shopping now!” Clarkson, who has not further discussed her shopping excursion, moved to New York City in 2023 with her two kids: River Rose, 12, and Remington, 10.  (Clarkson shared her children with her late ex-husband, Brandon Blackstock, who died in 2025 after a private battle with cancer.) “It’s a beautiful city to raise kiddos in because I wasn’t really exposed to different cultures,” Clarkson said on the “La Culturistas” podcast last month of her family’s move. “I wasn’t really exposed to anything like that. Like, I love where I grew up … but I just meant It’s a cool thing for them to have just every color of the rainbow, every color of personality, everything.” The Voice coach further noted that her kids have been “really good” lately in the wake of their dad’s death. “We’re having fun, we’re cooking, we’re playing games,” she added at the time. “I’m there at [school] pickup or I’m there dropping off. Like, it’s real different.”

Oliver Stark's On-Set Injury Raises Concerns Ahead of '9-1-1' Season 10

Oliver Stark's On-Set Injury Raises Concerns Ahead of '9-1-1' Season 10

Oliver Stark and a handful of his 9-1-1 costars were reportedly injured on set amid production on season 10 of the hit series. Stark, 35, and three other performers allegedly suffered various stunt-related injuries in recent months, according to Deadline. Per the report, Stark broke his ankle in August — an injury that required surgery. The actor returned to set upon his eventual recovery. The other injured parties have not been publicly identified, with Deadline claiming one stunt double rolled his ankle during a rehearsal and another required stitches after cutting their arm on a piece of jagged metal. A third individual was reportedly hospitalized as a precaution after awkwardly landing on a platform while simulating a ground collapse. Further details regarding the alleged incidents have not been revealed. Us reached out to Stark and a spokesperson for Disney, the parent company of ABC’s 9-1-1, for comment. The hit first responder drama is currently gearing up for the highly anticipated Thursday, October 15, premiere of its 10th season. “The 118 faces an earth-shattering emergency that shakes the city of Los Angeles to its core,” a logline reads. “Still finding her footing as a detective, Athena [Angela Bassett] leans on instinct to crack a mysterious new case, while May [Corinne Massiah] finds her own confidence in a new job.” While Athena and her daughter find their footing with new work responsibilities, Stark’s Buck is learning to balance the life of a firefighter with that of a newly minted parent. (At the end of season 9, he assumed guardianship of his friends’ 4-year-old son after their deaths in a fatal car accident.) “Based upon the ending of season 9 for myself, I think [Buck] has come into a lot of new responsibility in his life,” Stark exclusively told Us in May, teasing his character’s arc. “It’s going to be a battle to see quite how he juggles all of that and contends with his work. … We obviously don’t write the show, and we just play the scenes as they come to us.” Buck is a fan favorite character, who viewers often love to ship with his coworker and BFF, Eddie Diaz (Ryan Guzman). “We love how invested the audience is in that relationship, whatever you view it as,” Stark told Us. “We play it as it comes and as authentically and truthfully as possible.” While Buck is openly bisexual, his friendship with Eddie has never turned romantic. “If I could pick, I would love to have Eddie revisit his army days somehow, someway, or get a love interest,” Guzman, 39, told Us in a separate interview, stressing he had “no clue” where Eddie’s journey was headed. 9-1-1 season 10 premieres on ABC Thursday, October 15, at 8 p.m. ET and streams the next day on Hulu.
