(The couple also share daughters Mabel, 17, and Nixie, 10.) “We are deeply heartbroken by the loss of our beloved Fiona,” Lowe and Painter, 52, wrote in a joint statement, referring to Fiona as “a loving young girl who was smart, creative and loved to dance.” The couple continued, “She was adored by her sisters and she was deeply loved by her parents. Love you soooo much!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️.” Lowe had long been proud of Fiona and her sisters. “I’m a girl dad. It’s so interesting because [I’m] always wanting to have my own experiences and not live in the shadow or follow in the footsteps of somebody,” he said on the “Still Here” podcast in 2024. “I feel like having daughters is such an incredible privilege.” Chad, the younger brother of fellow actor Rob Lowe, further revealed how raising daughters changed his perspective on the world. “I look at the world from really their perspective, and I see the world and a lot of the injustices in the world from their perspective. It’s not all doom and gloom,” Chad said. “Society is changing. I see how we’re really becoming conscious of the role of women. We may, who knows, have the first female president.” He added, “[We’re] really empowering women and seeing how much women have to offer. Kathryn Kirk Breaks Silence on Alleged Feud with Erika Kirk

Kathryn Kirk Breaks Silence on Alleged Feud with Erika Kirk

Charlie Kirk’s mother, Kathryn Kirk, has broken her silence on rumors that she’s feuding with his widow, Erika Kirk. “We knew Charlie in a way that no one else did,” Kathryn told Vanity Fair in an interview with Erika, 37, published on Tuesday, September 29 — just over one year after the conservative activist was shot and killed at Utah Valley University while speaking at an event for his non-profit organization, Turning Point USA, which was taken over by his wife after his death. “We can look at each other’s eyes, and we know the depth of our despair,” Kathryn continued of her relationship with Erika. Addressing public criticism of Erika for taking over as CEO of TPUSA and rumors that the mother and daughter-in-law don’t get along, Kathryn added, “We were 100 percent behind her. Erika and I have, through the trauma, grown closer.” Erika’s leadership role within the organization has drawn questions about the direction she is taking the conservative group, especially after the president of TPUSA’s University of Georgia chapter resigned in April, claiming the group has strayed from Charlie’s vision since Erika took the helm. “I’m built different,” Erika told VF in response to the backlash. “I do not know how to explain it other than this world will not break me.” TPUSA confirmed Charlie’s death on September 10, 2025. He was 31. “It’s with a heavy heart that we, the Turning Point USA leadership team, write to notify you that early this afternoon, Charlie went to his eternal reward with Jesus Christ in Heaven,” a statement from the organization wrote at the time. Tyler Robinson, the man accused of assassinating Charlie, was charged with aggravated murder, felony discharge of a firearm, obstruction of justice and witness tampering. He pleaded not guilty. In early September, a judge ruled that Robinson’s case would go to trial. The 23-year-old faces the death penalty if convicted. “[This decision was] an important step in our family’s pursuit of justice for him,” Charlie’s family said in a statement at the time. “Every step in this process carries the weight of all that Charlie’s murder has taken from his family, especially his [two] children who will grow up without their father. We are grateful to all who have continued to pray for us, support us, and stand with us through a year of unimaginable grief.” The statement continued, “As the next phase of the judicial process begins, our family remains united in our love for Charlie, our commitment to the pursuit of justice, and our prayer for a transparent and timely process.”

Christa Pike's Survival Sparks Debate After Botched Execution Attempt

Christa Pike's Survival Sparks Debate After Botched Execution Attempt

Death row inmate Christa Pike survived a failed execution attempt after being administered two lethal injections, her lawyer said. Pike, 50, was transported to a Tennessee hospital after the attempted execution on Wednesday, September 30. In an emergency motion to halt the execution on Wednesday, her legal team said, “Ms. Pike has lost consciousness and still has a heartbeat and is audibly snoring.” An attorney for the convicted murderer told the BBC that she was “being provided life-saving measures” at a Tennessee hospital after being injected with two syringes of pentobarbital. The Tennessee Department of Correction told NBC News that Pike was “transported to an off-site medical facility” following Wednesday’s execution attempt at Riverbend Maximum Security Prison in Nashville. “The Tennessee Department of Correction followed every step of the state's lawful, established execution protocol approved by the Attorney General’s Office,” a TDOC spokesperson told The Tennessean newspaper. “The lethal injection chemical in the protocol has consistently been effective, and the protocol does not allow for additional procedures beyond what was carried out this evening.” Pike is the sole woman on death row in Tennessee and was expected to be the first woman executed in the state in more than 200 years, per historical records. In 1996, Pike was convicted of the murder of classmate Colleen Slemmer. Slemmer’s mother, May Martinez, who attended the attempted execution, told NBC News, “It was a mess.” Tennessee Gov. Bill Lee said in a statement, “Carrying out a lawfully imposed sentence is among the state's most serious responsibilities, and the people of Tennessee expect it to be done in a manner that is not only legal and constitutional but is effective. I have ordered a comprehensive, third-party review to determine exactly what occurred.” “Tonight the State of Tennessee once again failed to carry out a lawful execution,” Pike’s legal team told The Tennessean. “We take no pleasure in being right, but the concerns raised by Ms. Pike proved to be true: difficult vein access, blown veins, degraded pentobarbital, no emergency medical care available when things inevitably go wrong, all under a protocol that remains veiled in secrecy.” Earlier on Wednesday, the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit stayed Pike’s execution just an hour before it was due to take place at 10 a.m. local time. However, the U.S. Supreme Court later overruled that decision, allowing the execution to go ahead.

Christa Pike's Chilling Question After Surviving Botched Execution

See more of our coverage in your search results. Media witnesses to the botched execution of Christa Pike described how the satanist killer lifted her head and asked if the pain was normal after a second round of the lethal drug cocktail was administered.Pike, who would have been the first woman executed in Tennessee in more than 200 years, somehow survived the double dose of the highly potent sedative, Pentobarbital, Wednesday – with reporters describing how the failed execution played out unlike anything they had ever seen.“They went through two rounds, and she was still breathing at the end, it was very ragged, she lifted her head up and was looking around at one point. She said there was a spot that was burning and hurting and asked if that was normal,” Catherine Sweeney of WPLN said at a press briefing after the execution was put on hold.Christa Pike survived the double dose of Pentobarbital during her botched execution. TDOC / SWNS“None of that was normal.”Pike, 50, was strapped to a gurney in the Riverbend Maximum Security Institution’s death chamber just before 7:30 p.m. CDT an hour after her stay of execution was overturned by the Supreme Court.“When they told us to leave at 8:53 Christa Pike was still breathing. They did two separate rounds of pentobarbital – which I’ve never seen before – the protocol does say that they should do a second round if the person is still alive,” Sweeney recounted. “I covered all of the executions last year and most of the ones this year, we haven’t seen anything like it.”Tennessee’s execution protocol calls for a second set of syringes to be administered “if the inmate is not deceased” after the first injection. However, it does not specify what happens if the subject is alive after the second set.Critics of the death penalty condemned the Tennessee Department of Corrections’ use of lethal injections.“The state of Tennessee has shown the world it cannot be trusted to implement capital punishment in a way that preserves human dignity and the rule of law. This has to stop now,” Laura Porter, executive director of the US Campaign to End the Death Penalty, said in a statement to USA Today. Other witnesses on site at the Nashville prison to watch the historic execution take place recalled Pike complaining about “throbbing” in her arm.“They went through two rounds and she was still breathing at the end, it was very ragged,” Catherine Sweeney of WPLN recounted at a press briefing after the failed execution.“I covered all of the executions last year and most of the ones this year, we haven’t seen anything like it,” Sweeney continued. I’m ready to be free.’ Then something about celebrating her freedom, and then she closed with, ‘This is a happy day.’”Gov. Bill Lee said in a statement that he has ordered “a comprehensive, third-party review to determine exactly what occurred” and halted the remaining scheduled execution set for this year.“Carrying out a lawfully imposed sentence is among the State’s most serious responsibilities, and the people of Tennessee expect it to be done in a manner that is not only legal and constitutional, but is effective,” he said.Pike was on death row for a heinous 1995 crime in which she lured a romantic rival into a wooded area and tortured her with a box cutter – carving a pentagram into her chest – before smashing her head with a piece of asphalt, claiming a piece of the victim’s skull as a souvenir. With Post wires

Society is changing. I see how we’re really becoming conscious of the role of women. Cornell Fraternity Scandal: New Transcript Raises Serious Questions

Cornell Fraternity Scandal: New Transcript Raises Serious Questions

See more of our coverage in your search results. The Cornell University student who accused seven fraternity brothers of sexually assaulting her told police: “I can say with 100% confidence I was raped,” according to a newly revealed transcript. The woman, identified only as Jane Doe, was interviewed by campus police over two days in November 2024, describing how a night of partying devolved into her becoming “completely and totally incapacitated” and then gang raped, according to the transcript obtained by CBS News.Doe was joined by a Title IX investigator, a victim advocate and partly by her adviser during the Nov. 14-15, 2024 interview, where she admitted the night of drinking, drugs and sex at the Chi Phi fraternity house began consensually.“Yeah, as much as I can be because, again, I was super drunk when I got there,” she said. “But I was pretty OK with all of this.”But as she was offered more drugs and alcohol, a threesome she began having consensually turned into a revolving door of frat bros allegedly coming and going from the room to take turns having sex with her, the report said.“And then, of course, I was being hit at the same time,” Doe told police, according to the transcript. “Physically hit very, very hard.”Doe described pushing one groping hand away from her at one point, and at other moments telling fraternity brothers she was uncomfortable or too tired to keep having sex.The Chi Phi Fraternity House is seen on the Cornell University campus in Ithaca, NY, on Wednesday, Sept. 30, 2026. Lone Pine Press for NY Post“Was it ‘no’ or was it, ‘eh, I’m tired’?” police asked, explaining that their questions were not accusations but important clarifications for case-building.“I think it’s, ‘I’m tired,'” Doe replied.Police then asked whether she finally became so exhausted from fending off the brothers that she allowed them to have sex with her, to which she responded, “Yes. It was coercion.”She also told cops she didn’t remember the night “where I was raped” — and that she didn’t know how many people had sex with her while she was in that state, according to the report.“I can say with 100% confidence I was raped,” she said, adding “I’m very confident about this” as the interview ended. The transcript raises new questions about what authorities knew at the time about the case, with a separate six-page written statement Doe signed to Cornell University Police obtained by ABC News showing she said the night “felt like coercion,” but not clearly stating she believed she’d been raped. It also appears to contradict Tompkins County District Attorney Matthew Van Houten, who on Monday justified his decision not to bring criminal charges at the time by claiming Doe never explicitly accused the seven men of any crimes.Van Houten said that decision was made based on the sworn statement, but claimed he never received the transcript, adding that he’d since requested it as his office has reopened an investigation into the Oct. 19-20, 2024, alleged attack.“If she had said those words, we certainly would want to have explored that more,” he told CBS. “Like I said, that wasn’t provided to me.”Cornell University Police told The Post “all investigatory information” from Doe’s case had been shared with the DA’s office in 2024, but didn’t specify if that included the transcript. The Chi Phi group chat included in Doe’s damning lawsuit. Obtained by NY PostCornell has been the center of a growing scandal over alarming rape allegations at the campus Chi Phi fraternity. Lone Pine Press for NY PostThe shocking two-year-old case was dragged into the light after Doe filed a sprawling lawsuit on September 18 claiming the brothers plied her with alcohol and ketamine at their fraternity after what started as a consensual hook-up with one of their ranks. That soon devolved into a threesome with another brother, and before long others were coming and going from the room to have sex with her and snort ketamine off her body. One of them even allegedly sent a message in a fraternity Snapchat group chat declaring there was “free p–sy” in one of the rooms, while brothers leered responses like “shop still open” and “you can walk in and whip it out.”After reporting the alleged assault about three weeks late, Doe claimed Cornell let her alleged attackers “mitigate their conduct by submitting essays.” Several were later confirmed to have been suspended, while two were expelled.A Cornell spokesperson called her “irresponsible” for suggesting the brothers only punishment was writing an essay, insisting the Ivy League school takes sexual assault claims seriously.

Wladimir Klitschko's Unexpected Move for Hayden Panettiere's Daughter's Future

Wladimir Klitschko's Unexpected Move for Hayden Panettiere's Daughter's Future

Hayden Panettiere’s family is supporting her former fiancé Wladimir Klitschko’s petition for guardianship over their 11-year-old daughter Kaya’s estate. The late actress’ family doesn’t plan to challenge Kaya’s inheritance after the actress’ former fiancé Wladimir Klitschko recently filed for guardianship, Us can confirm. (TMZ was first to report the news.) Klitschko, 50, submitted paperwork earlier this month, requesting to be the temporary guardian of his daughter’s estate. When Panettiere died in August, Kaya was the sole inheritor of the Nashville alum’s assets. As Kaya is a minor, the court could appoint a guardian while the case is in probate. “It is urgent and essential that Wladimir be immediately appointed temporary guardian of Kaya’s estate, to afford Wladimir the necessary standing to file Hayden’s probate petition, and the power to nominate a proposed administrator of Hayden’s estate,” the former boxer wrote in his petition, per court documents obtained by Us. “Without an immediate appointment for these purposes, there is a high probability that property belonging to Hayden’s estate may be lost, damaged or dissipated before a duly appointed personal representative can be in place to protect it. This directly and adversely affects Kaya, as she is the sole heir entitled to the entirety of Hayden’s probate estate.” Panettiere and Klitschko were together on and off from 2009 to 2018, welcoming Kaya in 2014. The Heroes actress ultimately relinquished custody of Kaya to Klitschko following their 2018 breakup, occasionally visiting her daughter overseas. (Klitschko and his daughter primarily live in Ukraine.) Us confirmed in August that Panettiere died at age 36 from the “toxic effects” of fentanyl and other drugs, per an autopsy report. A coroner also determined her death as an accident. (In addition to Kaya, Hayden is survived by her parents, Skip Panettiere and Lesley Vogel.) Following Panettiere’s death, Klitschko pledged to honor her legacy for Kaya’s benefit. “Our family is going through a time of profound shock and grief. The announcement of Hayden’s tragic death saddens me deeply,” he wrote in a statement shared via social media last month. “She left this world far too soon. Hayden was, although no longer my partner, an important part of my life and the mother of our daughter, Kaya. She built an incredible career through immense talent, while also facing the darker sides of a very demanding industry.” He continued at the time, “Nothing will erase the times we shared or the place she had in our lives. To our daughter Kaya, I will always speak of her mother with respect and make sure she remembers the person she was. I extend my deepest condolences to Hayden’s parents, her friends, and her fans, who are also grieving today. Young and talented people like Hayden should not leave this world so soon.” If you or someone you know is struggling with substance abuse, contact the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) National Helpline at 1-800-662-HELP (4357).
